It's a lovely place and has a really convenient neighborhood. I've stayed here for 3 months and I really like this apartment. However, on the day we moved out, I found that the staff of this apartment entered our room before the check out time without permission and stole my stuff. I was really angry about this and it is really uncomfortable to know that strangers may enter my room at anytime and even stole my properties. I really want to give a five stars comment but I am so disappointed about the manager ignoring our complaint after we moved out. Please take care of your properties if you are

We have been living in Zinc for 15 months. We are so glad we made the choice. It’s a large building but very well maintained. We sometimes had to call the maintenance. They came in time, super friendly and got things done. We never had any problem living in the building. Big callout for Aizhan and Josh, they helped us a lot!

I've lived at Zinc for 2 years now and just renewed my lease. So far I have had a great time at the complex though it is on the pricier side for the area. Despite this management worked with my to maintain a very similar rate I capitalized on on the previous lease renewal cycle and was proactive about reaching out to me to see if I was happy with the price and wanted to negotiate.
Would recommend living here, have no complaints! Though if you are sensitive to noise this may not be the place for you given nearby construction

I toured with Caszell Morris and it was a great experience. He was very personable and kind. He was actually cooking for a building wide cookout. Talk about going above and beyond. The gym here was quite nice and the units were well kept with nice hardwood floors. The unit I toured has a nice layout and a bit more spacious. I did really like the outdoor patio with built in grills.

I recently moved into Zinc and have nothing but good things to say. The building is beautiful and very well taken care of and all the staff is great. Jessica helped me with the leasing process and she was amazing to work with. She answered all of my questions and made the moving process so easy. I can't recommend this building enough.

The building location is convenient and for the age of Boston/Cambridge it’s a newer complex. I’ve lived here just over a year and after a recent transfer I am moving out.
The major negative to this complex is the noise, there are only a few units that aren’t impacted and when the MBTA green line open I bet you will even on the higher floors hear it. I say this because on the 9th floor I can hear the construction including them yelling at each other, the garbage truck, the commuter rail. Per MBTA the commuter rail doesn’t turn off it engines in the colder month because they won’t start

We moved into Zinc in August of 2019, and I can honestly say the last 10 months have been nothing but absolutely awesome. I will preface by acknowledging the elephant in the room- the only moderately unappealing thing to living here is the construction- it is loud if you are outside for a few hours a day. But, if you're inside of your apartment with the windows closed it's not bad at all. The pros absolutely outweigh the cons. I lived here for 2 years. First year was $2,415 for a studio. I renewed my lease for $2,475.
Pros:
- amenities
- gym is nice and convenient
- cleaning staff comes everyday
- concierge so packages are secure
- location is convenient, 5 min walk to green line Lechmere stop
Cons
- mail person gets mail mixed up so I always get other people's mail. I have to put it near the table/trash
- manager isn't very helpful. Takes too long to answer or sometimes doesn't even reply. The office staff is clueless too (maybe bc their new but they never have answers either). I'd say go

UPDATED Review 2019:
For everyone reading up on this review, we didn't renew our lease even though we were offered a discounted rate to stay here. Sadly, there are several things that I would like to mention here for anyone looking to sign a lease or renew their lease:
- Our window remained defective and was never properly fixed until the very last day.
- The buildings boilers constantly had issues and hot water was an issue frequently.
- The main water contains contaminants which can't be safe for drinking. Watch the video I have posted for reference.
- Lastly, the building threatened

Terrible terrible attitude from the management office towards tenants who pay such a high rent. They tried to blame and charge me for broken coffee machine in a community room, but weren't able to provide any proof that me or my guests broke it. They actually put all those charges under extra rent..... I am still not sure why they tried to do that but something is very fishy there. It took over a year to resolve that issue and it took awhile the person who was doing it on their behalf to understand all the charges. They overcharged me for a community room usage, even though all 3 TVs were

I stayed here for a year and couldn't leave soon enough. From the dog pee in the elevator, lost packages, stolen bikes from the front of building, and unresponsive staff, I would never recommmend anyone stay here. There are better apartments near kendall square area that are similar in price. Try third square or some of the others. These apartments are close to the red line, also. The lechmere stop on the green line is scheduled to close soon as they extend the line anyway, making this property less atrractive. First time I've given a non 5 star review - please save yourself a lot

We moved in around August. As much as i love the building, events and neighbors- Hot water is a major issue. We have had trouble with getting Hot water-infact the water is freezing cold. We put in a maintenance request and for a while it worked and again back to square one. This is a huge problem in winter. It doesn't seem like they care enough

I've lived at Zinc for over a year and a half and I've been very happy here. Some highlights: the outdoor patio space is beautiful and such a nice space to hang out during the summer and spring. The gym has everything you need and is kept super clean. The leasing office and front desk staff are friendly and I've always found them to be very helpful with any of my questions. Lastly, we've only had two small maintenance requests in our 1.5+ years, both we resolved the same day we requested via the resident app. Overall, really happy to have found Zinc!

Overall it is a good building which is well maintained but NO WAY I RENEW my lease, with management changing nothing is the same, the service is very poor, package get lost, some staffs are not really helpful and Only the price looks "luxury" here. Very loud neighbors and MOST ANNOYING is the constant NOISE from construction which surrounded the whole building, starting so early A.M. till late afternoon. if you like pay for LUXURY apartment and wish you never get home to put up with the noise, sign the lease here

Leasing process was great. They were fast and truly attentive the whole time. Move in process was way to easy. No move in cost except to get the lock changed but that's totally expected. Elevator was reserved with no issues. Apartment was very clean like it was never lived in. Building stays very clean. Overall I'm very satisfied. Bathroom needs more storage area though.

I moved in a year ago and no way in hell i renew. All the previous amenities have either been eliminated or removed. New management doesn't even track packages. If amazon says you have a package it is a crapshoot whether the building will have or find it. Constant construction going on. Noisy neighbors.

This building claims they are "dog-friendly." This is not the case.
The staff is NOT understanding or accommodating of puppies.
One of the women in the office stays clear of dogs because of allergies.
I have had packages missing and in some cases, handed off to others.
Very unfriendly and ingenuine staff in general. You should try Twenty|20 or the Avalon building down the street -- both are also luxury living and have high ratings on Yelp.
Their maintenance staff on the other hand is awesome! Super helpful.
