Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home and C'est la Vie Independent Living Center located in Opelousas, Louisiana, are ministries of the Marianites of Holy Cross. Both are nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing the highest quality of residential care, long-term health care, and short-term rehabilitation services for seniors of all faiths.
Our goal is to enrich and enhance the lives of our residents by creating an environment of love and joy in a place called "home." It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share with you the death of Allen "Bubba" Penick, Jr. Until he died, Allen was a committed and dedicated member of the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church in Opelousas and actively involved with the Methodist Cursillo Movement.

Services
More than 175 years ago, a young French Catholic priest named Father Basil Anthony Mary Moreau had a dream of serving those who were in need of education and health care. From this dream, the Holy Cross Family of Priests, Brothers, and Sisters was born to serve the people of God throughout the world.
Following in the footsteps of Blessed Basil Moreau, the administrative team focuses on the health and well-being of each resident. We believe that this is each one's "home" and with our residents, we are caretakers of this sacred space. Provide individualized care and encourage our residents to create their own personal space.
Our 24/7 comprehensive nursing services include various modalities of care to effectively respond to a variety of chronic diseases and medical conditions. We also understand that to reach optimum health, people need to feel acknowledged and supported. Our compassionate team of medical professionals and caregivers see beyond each person's current situation and connect with them through their lifetime of achievements and contributions.
The Marianites of Holy Cross are a Roman Catholic congregation of women religious, part of the international Holy Cross Family of Sisters, Brothers and Priests founded by Fr. Basil Moreau in the 1800s. The eleventh of fourteen children, Fr. Because of the many needs of his time, he founded the Congregation of Holy Cross as an association of religious men and women working equally together for the building of the reign of God.
The goal of our rehabilitation team is to enable folks to safely return home and re-engage in activities of daily living as efficiently as possible. Our interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech/language therapists are specially trained in working with a senior population and understand the unique needs and challenges the elderly face.

My company, Acadiana Kitchen & Shutters LLC, just recently completed a large project installing new window Blinds and Plantation Shutters at this facility. Do to the size of the project I made 4 trips out there to finalize the order. During my time there I noticed how clean and well kept the facility was. There was always someone cleaning the inside of the facility every time I was there and all the residents rooms were well kept. All staff was very friendly and helpful. The residents were also very friendly, helpful, and excited about their new window treatments! I personally worked directly with
