Too bad there isn't a ZERO STAR OPTION! And I'm shocked at all the RAVE reviews that mention "clean and nice" and "courteous front desk staff" since we encountered exactly the opposite!
I only found one or two other reviews which told the truth about this overpriced ($200 for 2 double bedded) run-down, stale-smelling "hotel".
I knew it was bad from the moment I called and asked about a rate jump on the website an hour after I started looking at it, and the person on the phone was so rude and said "Book another hotel if you want".

I never travel for the holidays but with COVID mussing things up for me every which way but loose, I had to book a flight to see my family in Texas for Christmas.
Early flights are usually so problematic for me but my brother in-law recommended Marina Inn as a waypoint so I thought I'd give them a try. Arrived around 6:30pm and was greeted by a very nice lady at the desk. She made quick work of checking me in while also making pleasant conversation. In no time I was in my room which was decorated warmly, felt much like home or as close as you can get. Sure there were less than desirable

The hotel clerk refused to honor the advertised on line price. She gave some very poor excuses as to why. The prices she said weren't $103 per night yet that price was posted the same morning I came into the motel. I showed her the posting! Yet her computer didn't reflect that price! Incredible!!! I thought I had seen the most inept excuses in politicians but it has spilled over into the business world. The only way to change these inept customer service people is to stop doing business with those companies. Her excuses were pathetic mumbo jumbo. It's amazing how poor customer service can cause

My husband and I stayed at the Marina Inn for one night. We were place initially in room 103. This room on the main floor was extremely noisy and I could hear others peoples conversations. There was constant noise coming from the parking lot and it was impossible to relax. The room also had a musty mold smell which was unpleasant. After biting my tongue for 3 hours, we asked to be moved to a quieter room. The lady at the front asked her manager and he agreed to put us in 303. This room was so much nicer! Horrible experience! On two separate occasions my spouse and I stayed here. Recently being diagnosed with a serious medical condition, getting treatment & tests in the area. I also needed rest & relaxation. I was wearing a mask when entering the lobby. My husband forgot his. The man working the front desk screamed that he needed one, we told him we were closer to our room than the masks at the front, but my husband obliged. The box was empty so we continued to our room. We saw another couple, BOTH, without mask. We asked theM if they were harnessed . They said no. We got in our room. The

Stayed here this weekend for the first time while attending a concert . Beautiful hotel room with a great view of marina. Extremely clean well-maintained with very nice friendly helpful staff. .Good breakfast, “cute perk” warm cookies in the evening at the check in counter. Will certainly come back here for a longer stay.

Great place, excellent staff. All employees get 5 stars. Bay view is awesome, although jet noise can be a issue, the view is worth it. I will say the fridge is too small, and I don't care for carpet, hard to see if it has been cleaned. No laundry machines for the guests. Definitely recommend this hotel.

If I could give this place a zero I would give them a zero. This was booked for me so I could attend a work conference. My bed was squeaky and my television did not work but thank god I dozed off right away as I was exhausted from my meeting. after I checked out as I was driving home I started to itch all over my body I thought nothing of it but two days after I got home I got confirmation from my friend who is a nurse & her husband who is a doctor that I had been bitten by bedbugs. The front desk staff were amazing. Cookie at night, breakfast in the morning that goes until 10:30 am. Parking is free and the parking lot is clean and super easy close access. Hotel checkout is 12

First time staying in a hotel since covid, and super impressed! The staff was outstanding. Our room smelled clean, and was super clean! I brought my own little cleaning kit just in case, but never felt the need for it. The breakfast available was great, and the dining area super clean as well. The view of the bay is insane, and we will be back to enjoy it again!

So we're in town visiting relatives and we needed a place to stay - (we usually stay with them but due to Covid we thought it would be better to be nearby.) I've seen the Marina Inn and thought ok this looks nice for San Leandro. We got a good price on two rooms so I booked it.
The hotel is ok but as many have noted it is old and outdated. I understand that we got cheap rooms, but the hotel is basically empty during Covid and they put us in two rooms facing the parking lot - even though dozens of rooms are empty on the Marina side. I get that you charge more for the view in normal

Nice lodging on the Bay in San Leandro, only a few miles from Oakland airport.
We got lucky as they gave us a Bay view room with a balcony (see picture).
Breakfast was not awful, as they are coping with the Covid19 regulations. Basic continental breakfast items were available, all individually wrapped for safety.

We were in the Bay Area for the weekend, and of all the hotels to our disposal, Marina Inn stood out. The photos on their website are inviting of course, but having grown up in San Leandro, I remember only good things about the Marina Inn and the high remarks that family friends said of it.

Right on the water next to Horatios restaurant. An older building. The front desk staff were friendly. We used their complimentary bikes to bike to 21st amendment brewery. Had the hotel's afternoon cookie and milk after 5pm.
Convenient location to the Oakland airport with free shuttle service.
Nothing fancy for accommodations but I think its a good choice for a somewhat affordable inn in the expensive Bay Area. Good for families.
