Services
As a volunteer, either healthy or with a select medical condition, you may have the opportunity to participate in a phase I clinical trial testing investigational drugs or medical devices. Your participation may help us determine the safety, tolerability, and dosage levels of drugs and how the body absorbs and processes the drugs.
We need healthy volunteers, and those with select medical conditions, to help us conduct research on investigational drugs or medical devices. As a volunteer you may undergo a health screen to determine whether you qualify for a trial, and you may be eligible to receive compensation for screening as well as gain useful information about your health.
Our staff is happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the volunteer process at the ACPRU. Here are some common questions we receive. Clinical trials are research studies that explore whether a medical strategy, treatment or device is safe and effective for humans. Phase I: Assessment of safety, tolerability, and dosing of the drug or treatment in humans (less than 100).

If I could give this negative stars I would…For anybody that wants to do a clinical trials for Abbvie, BE AWARE of what they DONT TELL YOU! , 1. They pay for travel or screening but that won’t be given until your first check is available and it will be mailed. 2. They will need a social security card. Picture of it or physical card. It’s used for identification verification & background check. The lady said they go back 7years and it’s for drug use & violent. The lady seemed very unsure and I had to force the information out of her before I drove 12 hours just to not get in. Just make sure

Having been to clinical research units all over the country, I have to say Abbvie is one of my favorites. The staff is professional and polite, the studies are easy and pay well, the food is pretty good, and the beds and atmosphere make you feel like you're staying in a bed and breakfast. Don't know why people left poor reviews, but you know what they say, you can't please everyone.

The staff there are very rude an I didn't feel welcome the very first study I've done there. First lady comes to mind was Courtney at the front desk. I smiled to her an I got a bad vibe. Glad she doesn't answer the phone anymore an tell people why their not in the study. Jessica the head tech always rude toward me never smiled once an made me feel uncomfortable. Always gave me a mean glare. That's called being judgemental an she acts as if doesn't enjoy her job there an takes it out on others. The chinese doctor said a rude comment to me during screening. Telling me I like to see you get a real

I had a nice experience with the screening staff however i did not qualify for a study and they told me they will mail a 50.00 check or bank card in 2 weeks and it has been a month!!! I call everyday and i get the run around about the money. Now they are saying they don't have my information. Really???? I filled out my life for an hour of paperwork and they said my information is private and they protect the applicants. Then how did you lose my information to pay me???????????? If i dont get my check by monday im reporting them to the BBB. !! Fraud !!!

The facility is great, very clean, new-ish, staff is professional. Internet is good, food quality much improved compared to 5 years ago. Thou they still serve fish or veggies that some people don't like.
Some bad things. Ventilation in the shower room leaves you cold during showers. Bedroom ventilation causes the room to be too hot or too cold, sometimes fluctuating from day/night.
The noise in the facility carries through walls easily. Doors are not exactly sound proof and walls don't really block the TV/laundry machine/people laughing or talking.
While on the topic of noise levels, there are

I had an awful experience with this company.
I went in for a screening they claimed would take 3 hours but took 7 due to their printer not working.
Then they had the audacity to not even contact me after the screening to let me know if I got into the study or not.
I had heard this facility was nice but they are totally disorganized and treat you like garbage.

I've done about a dozen studies with them over the years. Their new facility is really really nice, the staff is friendly and professional and the food is pretty decent (although, not as great as it was at Vista). I strongly recommend them.
