The goal of the company has always been to provide customers with high quality parts, and short lead times. Austin Waterjet has experienced steady growth even during the "down years" by providing excellent service, short lead times, and rapid response to the needs of our customers.
Since 1997, the company has moved twice to accommodate this growth in sales volume, and currently resides in south Austin in a 16,000 square foot facility on two acres of fenced yard.We have been diligent in keeping our production equipment up-to-date, and have added capability and services as required by the marketplace.

Services
Our abrasive water jet cutting machinery is equipped with two axes and a 150 inch maximum length capacity. However, if necessary, we possess the ability to relocate the part, and continue cutting larger size components. Specializing in cutting steel and stainless steels up to six inches thick, our advanced equipment is also able to process a wide variety of other materials, including alloys, brass, titanium, and plastic.
Austin Waterjet offers advanced laser cutting services that can be used for a variety of applications, including architectural ornaments, HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and signs. Equipped with a CO2 laser, a flying optic configuration, and three axis cutting capability, our advanced machinery can cut aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
In order to provide the most effective and economical services to our customers, Austin Waterjet has added additional capabilities beyond waterjet and laser cutting. We stock most common types and thicknesses of metal plate. Material Test Reports are available upon request at no additional cost to our customers.
Through a very efficient combination of laser cutting and CNC forming processes, our expert manufacturing technicians at Austin Waterjet were able to cost effectively create a set of three sheet metal components for an electronics manufacturer.
Our advanced flying optic laser technology, along with computer-driven forming machinery equipped with precision ground tooling, enabled us to accurately and repeatably manufacture the parts from 1/8 thick aluminum.Through well-developed strategies that enabled us to maximize material usage, we were able to provide a significant cost benefit to the customer while meeting their quality expectations.

Using both precision laser cutting and CNC forming processes, we recently produced several sheet metal components for a client in the semiconductor industry. This project called for the use of various thicknesses, including 11 ga and 10 ga of both steel and aluminum.
Our sophisticated laser technology allowed us to cut blanks with precise edge finishes and accurate and consistent hole placement, while our feature-rich CNC forming equipment enabled fast setup for the bend sequences and rapid tooling changeover to accommodate the transition from steel to aluminum production.

When Frank in sales was supplied with an accurate DXF file for a quote, and told me he would guess at the size of my parts for the quote process, my confidence in him, and this place went straight out the window. Frank was offended and extremely rude when I told him a guess wasn't acceptable. I've used this company for many years, but have recently lost confidence in them and will not refer, or use them going forward.

We've been working with Austin Waterjet for at least 18 years, ordering multiple times/month, and have experienced nothing but quality work and great service. No one's perfect and when there's been an issue Konrad has always done right by us. We work primarily with Betsy and she's thorough and responsive (and a general pleasure!). AWJ is the best in CTX!

We've been doing business with Austin Waterjet for over 2 years and we don't have any complaints! Quotes are sent back quick and are competitive... and the work is always good. Lead times are normal and always on time. If you are in a pinch, they are willing to help you out! Just ask! =) They are humans so mistakes can happen but they take full responsibility and do whatever they can to fix it and make it right. They value you more than just a customer.
Thanks guys for always being so great!

I've had nothing but headaches in my work experiences with AWJ. Betsy, the main woman I've dealt with, couldn't care less about her customers. Never even offering so much as an apology or if she does it's half hearted as can be. When they mess up an order and you notice when picking it up, Betsy expects you to go to the back of the line and wait for a new one. In business I understand mistakes can happen, but in Austin Waterjets case, they just flat out don't care. I highly recommend anyone to look elsewhere for your business.

I've been working with Konrad and his team for nearly 4 years, with multiple orders a month. They've always been responsive and professional, and I have confidence that they'll handle our needs in a timely matter. Courteous and punctual, the parts always meet our spec, and I appreciate their craftsmanship and attention to detail. I recommend them for your cutting and bending needs.

Konrad and the guys at AWJ are awesome! Always willing to go the extra mile for us. Our projects are typically done before we need them and that's hard to say in todays busy got to have it now world. They worked with us to help develop a new way of making our flanges for project we were trying to complete and they worked great!

I have been dong business with AWJ for over 15 years now, with me being at 3 different companies. I have watched them grow in size and services over that time and still keep a personal level of service to their customers. They offer full services from taking your design to the finished product. I have used them for odd material rendering, fabrication and general machining. I currently have several assemblies for our product lines with them that are medium sized industrial machine fabrications. They provide everything from CAM services through complex welded fabrications. I wouldn't hesitate to

I've worked with Konrad for several years and he has always delivered excellent work. He meets both our tight tolerances and tight deadlines. I trust Konrad and his team with cutting expensive material that does not afford an opportunity to redo if something goes wrong. Austin Waterjet has never failed us and I will continue to use them for my waterjetting needs.

I’ve been working with Austin Waterjet for a loooong time, and have always gotten more than fair pricing (I have done a lot of shopping around!) a dependable turn-around time, and excellent parts quality. When I put in the work up front to design and draw the parts in CAD I always get exactly those parts off their machines.

I have not used them, but my friends have and their work (elaborately cut steel) is wonderful to behold. If you need structural metal to be lighter and/or more decorative, these are the guys.
I recall that they have some additional cutting tech, maybe lasers and/or plasma, even though it is not mentioned on the website.
