During a kitchen remodel of our kitchen, I needed to install a ventilation hood. The installation manual instructed the boring of mounting holes into certain locations in the wall. Those two support locations would not go through the studs, which concerned me, due to the weight bearing on just screws in the drywall. I considered using drywall anchors, but still doubted if that would be enough strength. It had to stand the test of time. This metal yard is conveniently located south Austin off of Ben white. Down side is service is reall hit or miss. Not just this time but most. Seems that they always have some drama going with the front fab shop and staff is always being pulled away. One guy takes your order and same guy cuts your order while trying to take phone calls and deal with customers waiting. Last time I called in advance to check on some metal and place order and I was told come in at 1pm next day and it would be ready. Showed up few minutes before 1pm next day and representative said he was busy at lunch and to come
