Please schedule you appointment today! Many conditions are not physical but behavioral. Our doctors can help determine the cause of such disorders like aggression, separation anxiety, etc.
We offer Boarding for dogs and cats as well as avian and exotics. We have an extensive dog kennel and can house many different breeds. We have three kennel sizes for dogs, and one size cat suite. All of our kennels are well equipped and provide central heating, air conditioning, ventilation system, windows for natural daylight, heated floors, and a fenced exercise area outside.
Q: Can you give a dog or cat aspirin? A: There are so many pain relievers available to humans that choosing just one can be confusing. Not so with our pets. There aren't many over-the-counter pet pain relievers. When a pet is in pain, owners are eager to give medication to ease that pain, but giving human medications to animals can cause more problems than it cures.

Doctors themselves are okay and very knowledgeable, their staff is the one that gives them a bad image. There’s only one staff member who is sweet as pie , while the rest are rude and condescending. One tall bigger lady rolled her eyes at us, office manager was quite rude in a voicemail in regards to a missed appt. would not recommend due to staff
So let me add to this and say even though staff is disrespectful and rude , WE must be the respectful ones ? This place is insane.

They refused to give me a paper prescription so I could send it to chewy for my beagles medicine. Then told me I had to use their online pharmacy and when we did they denied us the ability to buy them because now all of a sudden she needed a heart worm test. No mention of that at any point any time recently . Although Dr mark did a fantastic job with our Ellie’s spay I will not continue to go to a EXPENSIVE vet that gives me the run around and now my dog has been without her flea, tick , heart worm pill for weeks now because of their stupidity

I have had great experiences with both of my cats. We have a senior cat whos health was declining, the team was able to assist and identify the issue and get her back on track. The staff calls to follow up on how the pet is doing. Pricing is appropriate and does not appear to be overpriced compared to others. We are happy to have found Amherst Animal Hospital to care for our pets!

Wow!!! Beth H., you have a lot of nerve! People shouldn't leave bad reviews?? Ruin this doctor's GOOD name??? Is this a joke or do you work for Dr. Kristin? She is exactly like the reviewers described but they forgot to say a wrinkled (clothes) mess and needs to button up that top!
You feel bad that she is pooped and peed on all day. Boo hoo..I was pooped and peed on by my dogs and kids for FREE. I don't complain, they are worth it. Her bank account can console her.
I'm glad you got out of the animal care business and Dr. Kristin should do the same. I will leave it at that

I have been taking my pets to Amherst Animal Hospital for almost 25 years. Yesterday, my dog was having what I thought was a seizure and NEEDED immediate medical attention (no previous bad medical history). When calling (in a panic), the receptionist said, without any concern, that they had no appointments... I explained we don't have time for setting up an appointment, this is life or death. After explaining more concern, the receptionist started to play middle man on the phone and on the other side Dr. Kristen claimed there was absolutely nothing they could do. My head was so confused

This was my first experience boarding a pet. I am seriously considering never going on a vacation again! I adopted by pitbull in June and had a vacation already planned. When I dropped off my beloved pet, they took her to go potty. The girl was back within 2 minutes without my dog. When I questioned the whereabouts of my pet, I was told she was fine outback. Before I could make a list of her personal belongings, another staff arrived without my dog saying that she was a jumper and got out of the fence. When I made my reservation I specifically said I had a pit who acted like Spiderman and
