Pattison Professional Counseling Center
Our mission at PPCC is to be involved with sympathetic objectivity in aiding our clients to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their circumstances for the purpose of leading a fuller, richer and more meaningful life. Our services range from parenting issues, to substance abuse and addictions, to testing: from infant through elderly issues to everything in between.

All services in one place, which means you do not need to go to multiple facilities for treatment. Pattison Professional Counseling and Mediation Center (PPCC, Inc.) was founded to assist people through life's difficult times.
Services
Pattison Professional Counseling and Mediation Center is a group of experienced licensed mental-health professionals providing quality services. Our clinicians are certified and state licensed in their respective fields. All have graduate degrees and advanced clinical training.

Our group consists of psychologists, social workers, parent coordinators and mental health counselors who are here to provide caring, competent and confidential assistance. We offer a sliding fee scale for those who are uninsured or underinsured and for all court-ordered programs.
Each mediator who serves with PPCMC is a Florida Supreme Court Certified mediator and is committed to the peaceful, balanced, and effective resolution of all kinds of disputes. Our mediators are specially trained to act as a neutral third party while encouraging the disputing parties to resolve their conflict.
Carla Polk is part of Medical Specialty Services Group (MSSG), which has partnered with Pattison to assist in managing insurance claims and client statements. Carla is responsible for billing, insurance verification, and account management. When you receive your first invoice from Pattison Professional Counseling and Mediation by email, you will be able to create an account and pay your copay/bills online.
Our therapy dogs are trained to provide affection, comfort, and support to all ages of people during times of distress. Therapy dogs are great at helping calm anxiety, lowering resistance, and promoting socialization. Often, they help you to open up about deeper issues, providing a feeling of safety and calm, and providing a diversion to unpleasant thoughts or situations.
With the stress of everyday living, knowing how to cope can be the difference between unneeded anguish or days filled with tranquility and fulfillment.

It is important to see a professional who recognizes if you are suffering needlessly from normal feelings of sadness, anxiety, insomnia, or occasional anger related to a daily life challenge, or if you are having issues that interfere with your contentment, such as clinical depression, a bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder or other treatable conditions.

I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere for quality care. We've seen 2 counselors here and visited each more than once just to be sure our first impressions weren't wrong. The below are our experiences with them:
Susan Page - my husband and I went to her for couples counseling. 1st impression upon walking into her office was not welcoming but that's the norm for any healthcare or service in this area so I didn't think much on it at the time. As we walked in, she proceeded to tell us, "Don't pet the brown dog, he's old." I'm still not sure if that also means he bites, but she didn't elaborate. I

I was very disappointed with this office, Susan seems more interested in money than helping people.. I arrived to the appointment on time and waited almost an hour to be seen. There was no receptionist on Saturday, no signs or anything on where to sit and wait. No apology from Susan for how long I had to wait to be seen or any of the confusion upon arrival. She was quick to say I needed medication based on a self diagnosis I mentioned. Which I found very negative, Close minded and Dismissive. .She also spent the first 15 min feeding her dogs in front of me, and agreed with everything I had to say

I absolutely love my therapist Erin. She has been working with my whole family for over a year. She is understanding and knowledgeable and has been very helpful to our individual issues. Her therapy dog Elsa is very well behaved and is very well trained and my kids love her. On that note, I'm not sure which therapist has the very loud small dog, but it has been interfering with being able to focus in my appointments. I just started EMDR therapy and it's very difficult to focus when there's a dog constantly barking.

I had one visit and cancelled the next. I will not return. I had to ask the counselor to wear a mask and her office smelled like dog so bad, when I walked out I could still smell it.

This service absolutely changed my life. To be honest though, making payments is finnicky and must be done over the phone. Otherwise my counselor was amazing.

While the staff are friendly and appear interested in helping, they are far too overbooked to maintain a beneficial counseling schedule with their clients. Every time we try to book a follow-up appointment it is a 4-6 week wait.

My therapist is amazing but the receptionist is not friendly. Luckily I don't have to deal with her much. She always has a dog with her who is barking and can't hear me. I get having an animal in my therapist's office but the dog with the receptionist makes no sense to me. If you need to talk to someone who listens, come here. Don't be put off by the rude receptionist.

Offers counseling services for many therapeutic areas.
As the provider has stated in it's disclaimer, some services are Court Ordered and some parties may be disgruntled... based on their opinion. Therefore, explore all options, including respectively and humbly asking the Court for all counseling providers, co-parenting options, and decide accordingly.
The services provided, by any counseling or mental health professional, have a lasting and sometimes permanent impact on the families involved. Therefore, consider all options, do your research, and your decision should not be taken haphazardly

I had a great experience with the staff. They were very friendly and helped me find the right therapist for my issues. I was having a lot of conflict at home with my family. I was very pleased with my sessions. The therapist took the time to listen to me and gave me great advice. I felt understood and I tried the coping skills she suggested. It worked and my situation at home has improved. I highly recommend this group of therapist.
