Essex Septic was started in 1984 by my grandfather Dexter Woodman. He was a restaurateur owner and operator of Woodman's of Essex. He knew almost nothing of waste management but he knew that his restaurant bordered a salt marsh and river as do so many businesses here in Essex.
So as environmental education and concerns grew he choose to be proactive and start a company that would benefit his and other businesses in Essex, as well as keeping his community and those that surround it environmentally sound.It wasn't long after that that I joined the Essex Septic and have continued to keep that same proactive mind set in regards to conservation, community and the environment.
