These guys are the best. Super honest and trustworthy, which is SO important when choosing an auto shop to give your business to. I had a hard time choosing a new shop when I relocated to OB from NorCal. These guys have taken care of my Subaru and always tell me when something is not needed or can wait.
I recommend you take your car to our friends here at OB Tire & Auto Repair! Great service, no bullshit and super fast turnaround. I always get nervous using mechanics near the beach assuming it will be more expensive that taking my vehicles out to east county. Honest and legit. Went for a valve stem repair.

Amazing! I didn't know that they did auto repair too. I called them in the morning when they 1st opened @730am, which is nice, and they told me to bring my Toyota right on in. They diagnosed the problem immediately & right in front of me when I got there. It was my alternator-they had the part & fixed it in 4 hrs same day!

These guys are awesome! I got a nail in my tire and went there with no appointment or heads up, and they took the time to look at my tire immediately (mid day on a Friday, even though I could tell they were busy), they replaced with my spare for a very fair price, and offered to order a new tire. They were so friendly and helpful! Saved my day🙏🏼 Thank you!

Saved me hundreds over going to my dealership for the work I needed. Great, helpful service and perfect location. I was able to run errands at OB Hardware, get coffee, and eat breakfast at Breakfast Republic while I waited for my car to be serviced. Tons of good lunch options too in the area.
They worked quickly and promptly called me so I could pick up my car and be on my way. Will definitely use them again.

This auto shop was absolutely incredible to work with. My car broke down while on vacay and OB Tire/ Auto took great care of me, they even recommended an amazing towing company to me. OB found the problem immediately and had my car fixed right away! This shop deserves more than 5 stars! I 100% recommend them!!!!!

I brought in my Mini Countryman because my check engine light was on, and the place I got my oil change gave me some codes to give them. $95 diagnostic fee. I was dreading the results since parts for Mini's are expensive. Well, they checked everything and it turned out it was a false alarm. It was a code for low oil that just didn't reset after my oil change a few days prior. They did see that my brake warning light was on. The customer service was amazing and pricing was great! I pulled in with my RV early in the morning before the shop opened. One of my new six tires were flat that I bought from another tire place two days ago. We were waiting for the shop to open. I decided to start the RV so I could charge my phone... but ugh, my RV wouldnt start. So when they arrived and the shop opened they took a look at both issues. They repaired the flat tire and put a new altinator in for me. They were so kind that they made a bad situation not so bad at all. They had me back on the road very quickly! I will def be referring

I had a minor noise coming from the front right area by the tire of my Mazda CX-5. As it turned out it was simple to fix. A few of the shims on my brake pads were missing. They replaced them for a very reasonable price, and I also thought their $95 charge for diagnosing the problem was fair.
When they called to tell me my car was ready for pickup, I said I'd call a neighbor. They asked where I lived and when I said 2 1/2 miles away, they said they'd come by right away and take me to the shop. How often can someone still get that type of service? I'm guessing it hardly ever happens

These guys are great. Came here because after getting an alignment at my usual shop, my tires got eaten up real fast. I came here and they told me my inner tie rods were bent. I thought they were pulling my leg because I just replaced them last year. They ordered the new parts and showed me the old ones and sure enough, they were bent. When the new ones came in, one of the rods were bent. So they had to order another one again. Glad I was referred to this place from a friend. Aight so , I keep it real with my reviews. My guy Wally straight up took care of me from assessing the issue to putting on a new tire , I came in to patch a wheel and he took the time to explain and show what was wrong with my old tire, he also balanced the heck out of my tire to the point I was like , is this my car? This thing smooth as hell. I don't know what kind of wizard this man is but this is the most zen my tires ever been you know ? Dude had me looking back at my car saying fkin mint. And the price ? Completely worth every cent Thank you Wally & everyone else .

Definitely going back! Had two tires put on with no notice (my tires aren't stock). Staff was friendly, price was great. I used to get my maintenance done near my work but am glad I found someone in OB.
My old mechanic told me I needed brakes. I took it here after my great tire experience to be told that my brakes are close to new (70-80%), said they even test drove it to see if it made noise, etc. and said that there was no reason to replace them. Definitely made the right choice with these guys!!

First time coming and had a fantastic experience. Everyone was super nice. My oil change was done earlier than expected and was cheaper than any oil change I've received.
They didnt charge much for labor so just above and beyond any expectations I had going in!
Everyone is so helpful and willing to go the extra step for their customers
Going to have to make this place my go to mechanic and if you choose this shop you will too.

So my daughter does Amazin delivery and said her brake were grinding,she lives in O.B. and they were able to get it done the same day and also grinded the rotors too!Oh and also beautified her tires Very helpful,very efficient ,courteous and wonderfully fair priced!(Not out to price gauge you) Highly recommend for those in Ocean Beach!

I had a very positive experience today with OB Tire. I called and was given an appointment time and a quote. I arrived when I was supposed to and I was attended to right away. The work was done and I was charged according (I had all four tires rebalanced and had my tires rotated). They showed me that my muffler was hanging without support (my car was on a lift and I could see easily). They supported my exhaust (muffler) with the correct support and charged me a very reasonable price. I am very happy with my service today.

I am getting my tire patched here as I am writing this review.
These guys are are amazing, other tire shops tried to sell me on a tire and these guys walked two blocks with me to my car and put air in it, and saw that it can be patched.
Instead of $400 on a new tire at a new shop, I walked out for $30.
Honesty matters, and these guys are! Thanks again!
