Truck mounted drilling rigs are the workhorses of the industry and Pacific Drilling Co. has four; Our newest and most versatile, the SaberCat MTXD, the Yeti M10, and our Wolverine M5 are extremely sophisticated hydraulic rotary rigs built by MARL Technologies in Alberta Canada. All are equipped with the revolutionary eSPT all-digital, self-calibrating auto hammer.
For over three decades, Pacific Drilling Co. has strived to provide accurate soil samples for clients located throughout the Southwestern United States. After all, it is the reason we exist. Our experienced personnel and all rigs are equipped to collect soil samples using auto hammers, safety hammers, and for extreme limited access, our own custom built donut hammers.
Pacific Drilling Co.'s all-terrain Wolverine drill rig is capable of accessing remote and rugged job sites to get the job done. This remarkable, self-contained hollow stem drill rig is mounted on a heavy-duty, 4WD Unimog Mercedes truck chassis. Pacific Drilling Co. is a full service drilling and coring company serving San Diego and surrounding Southern California counties.
Our Dietrich D-50 drill is mounted to a 2010 Ford F-650. This rig has a powerful turbo diesel deck engine, auto hammer, rock coring, mud rotary, air rotary and augering capabilities. It has all the power and torque to tackle the most challenging rotary projects but is small enough to maneuver in relatively tight quarters, and light enough to be lifted by crane.

We used Pacific Drilling for the installation of high-precision geodetic monuments that required skill, creativity, and attention to detail. The crew was hardworking and interactions with management were professional. All of those involved cared about our goals and it was a very good experience. Drilling is an art form, and I intend to use Pacific Drilling again.

Do not hire this drilling company. Their dispatch team does not answer the phone, does not respond to voicemails, and does not send communication via email when they say they will. Their drilling teams do not come prepared with the proper equipment to complete the job they have been hired to do, and make incorrect suggestions as to how the job should progress. Their owner also does not communicate when he says he will. We will never hire them again. I am only giving one star because it does not allow me to do zero.
