We envision a world free of catastrophic climate change with pure, clean air and abundant renewable energy. We work to switch as many American homes and businesses to clean, renewable energy as possible. With CleanChoice Energy you don't need to install solar panels or even own your home. As a renewable energy company, our mission since day one has been to make clean energy accessible for everybody.

We expand access to clean energy through our clean electricity, community solar, and offset products. Growing up in an industrial region of Pennsylvania, Tom Matzzie, our founder and CEO, witnessed the impact of air pollution- caused by burning coal- on the health and safety of his community. Eager to take action, as an adult he installed solar panels for his home, but found the process to be unnecessarily difficult.
Services
CleanChoice Energy makes sure all the electricity you use is replenished on the grid with 100% wind and solar from your region. Signing up only takes a few minutes. Your utility company stays the same, and they will still maintain your lines and provide your bill. No service calls, equipment, or installation are needed.
Most electricity comes from burning fossil fuels - but in 2 minutes, you can sign up to power your home or apartment with 100% clean wind and solar. When you choose CleanChoice Energy as your energy supplier, we make sure every kilowatt hour you use is replenished on the grid with 100% wind and solar from your region.

Be careful: I just cancelled CleanChoice after reviewing energy bills for the past year. Clean Choice increased their rate from 13.9 cents/KWh to 27.5 cents/KWh between Dec 2020 and Dec 2021. You don't see the rate on the untility bill - just the lump sum Supplier charge (you can calculate the rate by dividing the Supplier Charge by KWh Used). I am concerned about the environment, and signed on at what was advertised as a reasonable premium over the Utility rate. So for that, CleanChoice feels it appropriate to increase the rate rate by 400% in a year? Goodness, what a racket.

So pleased I am using wind and solar energy for my heating and electrical needs. I also drive a hybrid and my next car will be electric. This company also gave the capacity to ‘plant trees’ as gifts at Christmas - and I gave those gifts, gifts with meaning and hope for the future. We all need to do more.

I called to request a quote and also check on the customer service, example: Ease of reaching a rep and quality of customer service. The letter I received had a different price from the one given to me by the representative and he lost his patience really fast when I asked him to reexplain why they are different. I don’t think I’ll be switching until I get a concrete answer on the charges involved. What I understood is if I take the lower price of (6.***cents/K/hr) it’s only for three months and after it’s a variable rate. Or I could enroll for a year for 9.3cents/k/hr. I’ll defined be

I have been receiving my CleanChoice Energy
Electric for so long I lost track of the time.
My rate has decreased the last couple of years as clean energy usage expands. The delivery has been good and completion keeps making lame offers the seen good at first but increase in cost after an introductory period.
I like the electric usage summaries I receive too.
After changing to energy efficient appliances and LED lighting, together with my electric rates, I only pay about half of what I did 10 or so years ago. This includes the heavy air conditioning demand months of June-August.

I have been using Clean Choice Energy for several months now and it has worked without any issues. I definitely like using energy that isn't harmful to the environment. And the cost has been very reasonable. It's comparable to most other suppliers.

Extremely shady business practice to design your mail to look like the customer's utility bill.
I don't care if you claim not to be a scam company- legitimate businesses don't do this.
If you have to resort to tricking people into switching their provider and writing "this isn't from your provider, if you respond you are enrolled in our service" on THE BACK OF THE LETTER you are the lowest of the low.
I would rather pay more for an upfront company than one that does this to people who don't understand who they're giving their info to.
Save the "I'm sorry you had a bad experience" an apology
