We seek out architecture and design projects that re-think existing structures and landscapes. By working with ready resources, we believe architectural projects can strengthen community, create sustainable change, and embrace diversity, in both rural and urban fabrics. We believe that strong relationships create strong design.
Through collaboration with skilled artisans, green energy experts, local suppliers, planners, and historians, we create projects that meet our clients' immediate goals while also supporting sustainable communities and economies for future growth. We believe that every architecture project, be it an addition to a single family house or a local arts center, has the potential to create new opportunities and to redefine the places we call home.

FLOCK has a varied background in residential, institutional, and commercial work. We've been team members on some great projects across the state of North Carolina and in far flung places like Portland, Oregon, Chicago, Illinois, Lake Michigan, and Washington DC. We are trained in sustainable design, historic preservation, parametric design, and community design.
So, you love the walkability of downtown and the scale of the buildings and sense of community, or maybe you are intrigued by the beautiful masonry mills that dot the waterways of the County, or the old production barns that mark the landscape.
Maybe you want to be a part of shaping a new chapter in North Carolina development that includes the telling of a more inclusive history or gives grounding to the wide-flung visions of future community achievements. Why not take a look at Adaptive Reuse? The existing buildings that populate our cities and rural landscapes are looking for new life and there are many solid reasons for supporting their renovation and renewal.
