I have had nothing but issues with this bank, first I lost my job 15 weeks without unemployment and then got CoVid, was unable to fix my account, absolutely NO empathy at all and they would not work with me in the least, cold, rude and corrupt. I would never ever treat another human being like they did, and I bet if I walk in with my 100,000.00 investment they would think differently. Won't be giving them that business.

I opened a business checking account but currently do not have access to online bill pay. It's 2021, what banking institution does not make online bill pay easy? Their app is also trash, for lack of a better word. Pretty much as it stands, having a bank account at CU has been virtually useless. I suggest taking your business elsewhere. I plan on closing the account and going elsewhere and what a hassle this has been.

My debit card number was used in a large unauthorized purchase, I can't get a hold of the bank! None of the after hours numbers work, they just ring one and then silence. This it the opposite of how you expect this situation to go. With banks in the pass there is always a 24/7 number to call to cancel a card. I don't think I will continue to use this credit union. Shame on them.

I am posting this for my brother. He financed his truck through this outfit in 2017. Monthly truck payment was eft from his checking account each month. Monthly Insurance payment to Farmers insurance the same. EFT. Like clockwork. Then one day the truck payment isn't deducted. He calls to find out why, and they inform him they are repossessing it for none payment of insurance premiums. Farmers called CCU but it still took 2 months to get the issue straightened out on the credit unions end. Meanwhile he made one payment on line. Was told everything I wanted to hear to land me as a customer. (Closes in 45-60 days, during covid,etc.)
It took over 90 days, everytime I thought all the paperwork was completed on THEIR end, I was told another real quick thing needed to be signed. Then crickets for 2 weeks. Would not answer calls or texts within a timely fashion.

Opened a acct with 6500 went to do my very first transaction with a little 250 spiff check from work . the atm took check did not give me a receipt , didnt not put money in my acct but on the screen said "can not return check" so monday morning i have to loose more money taken time off work to close the acct at this incompetent bank . then either have them return my property , or my money or go straight to clark co. Court house and file a small claims suit to get my money . ridiculous 1st transaction wonder if ill even get my 6500 i opened this incompetent acct with?????

I have a huge issue with being charged an extra $10 a month to pay my bill online through my bank with an Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF). This is the only bill in my life that has asked me to do this. If I would have known I would have got my loan elsewhere.
I left messages with someone because they sent me to voicemail, during business hours, and they did not get back to me, three times.
These are outrageous mishaps and I encourage no one to do business with Columbia Credit Union.

If there was a minus star that would be my rating. Dealing with Columbia Credit Union is the worst experience we've had in years. Their computer, billing and customer service system is antiquated, they don't send statements, they don't call, text or email. We have a car loan with them that we cosigned on. Every payment was made on time for 18 months. They offered a month extension December, we accepted. However we went ahead and made a payment and they also took a payment from a bank account. Then they reversed the payments, added the $30 service fee, and late charge. Then

Literally am so frustrated with this bank. All I want to do is pay for my international fees for school and every time I call and walk in to let them know about this transaction I always get my card declined when I try. There is a lack of communication and every time this happens I have to go in twice and literally make the transaction at the bank. This is just unacceptable and very inconvenient.

I have been with Columbia credit Union for many many years and have been very happy with them until now. I am currently struggling with finances due to cut hours at work. I had 3 small automatic payments scheduled today and also had my direct deposit scheduled for today. The automatic payments were processed before the deposit leaving me with 3 overdraft fees. I called them to all of there was anything they could do and they told me maybe I should not do automatic payments anymore.... Seriously?!? Very disappointed especially considering how many people I have recommended them to. Bottom line

I will never recommend nor will I ever use Columbia Credit Union again in the future. It is very unfortunate as well because we had a fairly good experience with them up to this point.
Our first bad experience came when my husband and I were looking to refinance our home. We worked a young mortgage consultant, who didn't really take his time with us (our information contained multiple typos) and went for the maximum amount that he thought we should. Upon not qualifying for that amount, that was it. It was a brief conversation and the agent had no further interest in working with us further

Worst experience with a Credit Union. Usually the credit unions are pretty good as they are flexible. Their communication is non-existent. You cannot pay the loan back online. They only communicate through paper mail which takes about 2 business weeks to reach. They do not send you statements. Their systems are not even updated with the current information.
To top it all, when the customer calls in they are not at all cordial and mostly rude. It takes forever to get an information or some work done. I would not advise to do any business with them.
