Our Memory Care Program is for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia requiring a specialized program with different services.

I strive to make this community a legacy with compliance, education, and humility. Making a difference in the lives of our seniors is something I never planned to love but I have quickly become an advocate for quality care and dependability for our residents.

At Tennyson Court, we seek to enhance the quality of life and independence of residents in our assisted living facility. We provide assistance and supervision with daily living, so that each resident may enjoy comfort and security during their stay. Daily assistance may cover bathing, dressing, medication management, toileting, grooming, and hygiene.
At Tennyson Court, we recognize that individuals with Alzheimer's or Dementia require a specialized memory care program. We have three memory care houses distinctly designed for residents with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Our programs are staffed by attentive Resident Care Aides and Nurses who have comprehensive training for treating Alzheimer's or Dementia at every level.
By including enhanced assisted living services at Tennyson Court we expand the scope of care provided to our residents. As a licensed New York State Enhanced Assisted Living Residence, our facility is equipped to provide additional medical support at a greater level than assisted living. We continually strengthen our standards and operations to remain at the forefront of the assisted living industry.

Tennyson Court is an amazing place. My father became a resident in the assisted living area there last year and is doing great! These are some of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever met. They’re very responsive to requests or questions, and genuinely listen to any concerns you may have.
Though my father has Alzheimer’s and isn’t very social, their activities are wonderful. There are concerts, ice cream socials, scenic bus trips, trivia nights, movie nights, and so much more.

My Aunt and Uncle moved in the week before COVID shut everything down last year. The move was not something that was necessarily pre-planned on their part. The staff was AMAZING and made the transition for them much easier! They listen to your needs and concerns and truly LOVE their residents as though they are part of their own family. They made COVID family visiting as best as could be possible with all the regulations and did their best to make sure the residents weren't too isolated. Can't say enough about how happy we are and have been about my Aunt/Uncle's move into Tennyson!

After a long trip to rehab my father could not return home so we started looking at all the different communities in Williamsville and found Tennyson. They made the transition from rehab to there very easy. My father is very happy with the care and activities. Every time I visit the facility is clean and I finally feel that he is in a safe place.

While I do not have experience with a family member here, I can speak to the fantastic staff, including Sharon from activities, for hosting our music group virtually. The whole process of scheduling and communication as a whole was very professional and the Veterans Day service we played at virtually was very special and touching-especially the way they honored the residents who served in the military, presenting them with special gifts. Look forward to working with the again.

My name is Latoya P. & I started working here in June and I love it! I also love all the residents there and we treat them like family. There are pros and cons everywhere you go but this place is a place to work and send your family. I seen a comment saying there are no raises or bonuses that is not true as of today. Lots of bonuses and yes we get an a raise.

During the pandemic situation in recent months our family was brought to a difficult decision to place our 98 year old aunt in assisted-living without even seeing her room. The staff at Tennyson was so caring and attentive to our Aunt during her last days of life. We will always be grateful for the care she received in her last few months on this earth. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tennyson Court. After several bad experiences with "five star" rated assisted living facilities, we have finally found someplace that treats my father with the care and respect he deserves. He has been there for several months, and we have absolutely no complaints. The staff is superb - he, and his room, are always clean, fed, etc. Any questions we have had or requests regarding the care of my father have been addressed instantly. I currently have a loved one in the facility. We have been lied to by the administrator on how many medical care people will be looking after our loved ones. They are suppose to have one nurse and three aids for each housing unit but this is not the case. They get around having the "legal limit" of one nurse day side, and then they say an "Activities" person is considered an aid but when you ask the aid they have no clue that this is a job classification of their jobs. My mother entered memory care recently. The transition from our home to Tennyson Court was not stressful because of the guidance from Susan and her staff. My friend's mom, who recently passed, lived most of her final days at Tennyson until she had to go into skilled nursing. Whenever I visited, I saw caring and compassion from all the staff who interacted with her. My friend's family was happy with her care. As with every elder who undergoes a major change in living, there was an adjustment, but her room was pretty and bright, and she had a view of a courtyard area. It was very homey and clean. Dad has been a resident since December 2016 and Mom was here too. The staff members care about the residents and have always been respectful and helpful. I frequently stop in to check on Dad, staff always reponds to requests and concerns. Most importantly, Dad is happy and well adjusted (as much as he can be with memory loss).

My mother fell at Tennyson Court memory care - she broke her hip as a result of the fall and ended up in a skilled nursing facility. No one watched her to make sure she did not fall. No one even bothered to follow up or check on her - the administrator ( no longer at Tennyson) was a cold, defensive person - not suited to working in this type of community. -

Lack of caring all around. Called out today to get some information. The receptionist thought she had all the answers, and when I challenged her with another question, I was told she was going to ask for boss. She placed me on hold for close to around ten minutes. At this point I believe she wanted me to hang up. Only for her to pick up the phone, not say hello, and just hang up. So unprofessional!

Tennyson Court is very client and family oriented. We had a 90th birthday party there on Saturday and they were just terrific in helping us have a successful day! We asked for an got extra trash recepticles… and a dustpan and broom. We ordered meatballs and chicken tenders from the kitchen and they came on time and hot. When they saw we could use another table they supplied one. They could not have been more helpful! It is a fabulous facility for our loved one!!!

My mother was a resident there for over seven years. I truly believe her stay there was a big part of her living until 100 years old. I felt her care was excellent. This was a second family to her. The facility is kept up well, clean and inviting, just big enough not to confuse an elder. The staff truly seemed like they liked their work and the residents. If there was a question or concern, it was addressed immediately, a big plus here. Only have nice things to say about Tennyson.

I have to applaud Tennyson Court on so many levels. My mother suffered from Alzheimer's and when it was time to find a place for her to be safe and happy the family did our due diligence and scoped out the best place for our mom's care. Joel G was correct in his review, the staff is a collection of amazing people. Patient and kind always, dealing with memory care patients, I watched many times as each staff member role-played, morphed into character (pretend son, daughter), and always showed love and respect depending on which client and their mood du jour required to keep them relaxed

The buildings and grounds are immaculate and during the summer, my friend and I have enjoyed short walks outside and sitting on the comfy chairs on the porch next to the main entrance.
There's free coffee and popcorn at the entrance and the front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The front desk also has sign-up sheets for off-site activities like trips to nearby restaurants and stores and there are daily activities scheduled for residents like listening to music, travelogues, playing games and parties.

Tennyson is the one of the nicest assisted living places in the area IMO.
The folks working there are amazing. They are like the folks that work at Disneyland, always friendly and helpful, always in character, never negative.
The facility is immaculate. There is a movie room, library, each wing has a sitting room for cards, visitors, TV and a fireplace. There is crown molding and upgraded base molding throughout, it looks like a high end hotel. There is even a bird cage in the lobby with a dozen little exotic birdies flying about.
The number of extra activities is off the charts. Singing, bingo
