Providing expert oversight and training on best-in-class senior living and healthcare practices. I have been with Orchard Heights since 2006. When compared to the average tenures in senior care, this probably seems like a lot. However, it is pretty standard here at Orchard Heights and I believe that speaks volumes about the dedication and loyalty of our team.

It has been my absolute privilege to work with the team, many of whom are like family, here over the past decade. They are some of the most caring individuals I have ever met, who always put our residents first. If you have not had the chance, please schedule some time to visit and join us for lunch.

Orchard Height is the worse run facility ever. You pay for cleaning and it never happens. When they do clean the quality is awful. Food is awful. Now they want my 85 year old Father to dispose of his TV. Plopped it back down in their kitchen which is a tripping hazard.

My mother was there for a short period of time. We needed to remove her because the staff was rude and disrespectful. Even the front desk staff is rude both in person and on phone. The staff act like they really don't want or care to be working in their respective jobs. Happily we found a place that gave her the care and respect she deserved in her final days

My mother-in-law lived three for 3 months before they started calling ambulances every few days for dehydration and fake strokes, etc. Even paramedics stated there was nothing wrong, but they insisted to take her. They wouldn't even admit her into the hospital 90% of the time. They sure don't treat the elderly like they'd want their own family treated. A real lack of passion for the individual as well as their family. Getting calls day in day out while at work, etc. For common sense things. It's a really disturbing place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The reviews are 1's and 5's for a reason

Sent my 90 yro demented grandfather to the psych ward at ECMC- never notified his wife (a few rooms away), or his children (this was an issue addressed prior) and ignored orders to send him to Lakeshore if he absolutely needed to be sent out. Dementia patients don’t belong in a psych ward (ESPECIALLY ECMC- where violent psychs go), that’s what your facility is paid to deal with. For $10,000 a month and “medical staff” they should know this. Proves that money can’t buy knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, this is one of the “better” facilities. Do your research and don’t let them

I’ve never seen such a strong, independent, sharp-minded, & physically competent person so utterly and completely de-humanized, so fast in my life. (With my brother’s and his lawyer/accomplice’s help, of course.) After my brother, by law, committed numerous property offenses and other crimes against my father, not only did Orchard Heights NOT advocate on my brothers behalf, they essentially assisted him. They are thereby complicit in these crimes! (What ever happened to the sanctity of human human life? But I digress . . .) Once, my Father tripped and fell and had to call me, ie an hour away

My Grandmother loves her new home at Orchard Heights. The meals are wonderful! I've had a chance to try them myself. They have a wide range of activities she engages in daily, and fun outings to the Botanical Gardens, Museums, and many other places.

The staff is always happy to see you, and you can tell they really care for their residents. After the renovations, the campus looks beautiful and modern.
