What is known today as ECR began with a dream and noble ambitions. Our founder, Jorge Rivera, after decades of experience in marine trades work, started East Coast Repair and Fabrication from humble beginnings literally from the back of a pick-up truck, ECR has now grown into a full-service small business ship repair facility employing hundreds of people, and is now a leading force in the maritime sustainability industry.

At East Coast Repair and Fabrication (ECR), we continue to build our business and success by providing dependable, high-quality, and cost-effective welding and fabrication services to a broad array of businesses in Hampton Roads, Virginia and throughout North America.
East Coast Repair and Fabrication contract to provide mid-term availability of USNS Kanawha fleet replenishment oiler. On the Waterfront - East Coast Repair and Fabrication (ECR) provides ship repair, marine construction and industrial fabrication services. Ship repair company plans to bring 300 jobs to Newport News' Southeast Community in $64 million investment.
ECR holds numerous Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts for various Navy vessel assets in the Virginia location. We hold both a non-complex, as well as a complex Multiple Award Contract-Multi Order (MAC-MO) contract with MARMC, the Navy's Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center. We also hold an IDIQ contract for HM&E work for Military Sealift Command vessels.
ECR holds numerous Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts for various Navy vessel assets in the Florida location. We hold both a non-complex, as well as a complex Multiple Award Contract-Multi Order (MAC-MO) contract with SERMC, the Navy's South-East Regional Maintenance Center. ECR also holds and IDIQ contract for the Navy's Living Barges.
