Jessica Marcus Nutrition
I'm Jessica Marcus - a registered dietitian nutritionist and lover of all things wellness! I gave up med school to help people rediscover vibrant health using food as medicine. I hope you find something healing and delicious here. This is one of my all time favorite soups to make when I'm feeling like I've been eating too much processed food or need a little nutrition boost and detoxification support.

It's super simple, fast, and delicious. For those of you who have trouble digesting raw vegetables, soups are. Pumpkins are definitely the highlight of fall, so I'm always finding new ways to incorporate this naturally sweet veggie into new recipes. It's packed with beta-carotene for healthy, glowing skin and fiber for "all systems go" digestion.
Services
My parents would tell you I've always been a "health nut, " which is likely the result of visiting a nutritionist for low blood sugar headaches and fatigue at the ripe old age of 8. So while other kids read Judy Blume, I was nuzzled into my Food Bible, learning about how the vitamin E in almonds is good for your skin.
If you're taking the time to make a salad, why not make it work for you? I'm all about building efficient meals that maximize nutrient density, gut-healing ability, texture and flavor. I follow this perfect salad formula for 99% of my lunches and many of my dinners as well. I've been getting lots of questions about how to strengthen the immune system, and now that we're all stuck at home, it's a great time to overhaul your diet.
At 9 months pregnant, sleep is something that eludes me even before baby #3 arrives. I find my mind racing, which makes it hard to fall asleep and even harder to get back to sleep after one of my several trips to the bathroom (hello squished bladder!). I'm hot, then. If you know me, you know I don't mind discussing bodily functions, including "number two."
This is a fun recipe to try with your kids. We make them every weekend, because they serve as a great snack or even a quick breakfast (we usually eat 3 at a time). Plus, if you make them with sunflower seed butter, they're school-friendly as they contain no nuts. These pancakes were terrific. I just wish I had taken better pictures to show off how fluffy and delicious they turned out.
This is the best one-stop shopping for healthy kitchen staples. I get all my avocado, coconut and olive oils, bars, gluten-free flours, nut butters, lupini beans, gluten-free pastas, coconut milk with no fillers, and more at Thrive Market. The prices are better than the grocery store and there is so much variety.
