Bruce makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. His knowledge of suits and fabrics is vast. It was my first hand stitched suit and it did not disappoint. I'm an athletic guy and Hugo Boss, Armani and other major designers only make suits for men with skinny legs. Bruce made me the best suit I've ever owned. Ask for a Bloody Mary, he has his own mix!

I recently purchased two suits and a couple of shirts from Bruce Julian. Admittedly, I am a guy with a certain style, but it does not involve wearing nice suits, or suits at all actually. I went in on a sunny Saturday before and it was predictably busy. I knew I'd need help so I just perused a bit and decided to come back another day. I'm so glad that I did. Bruce listened to my vision and found me a blazer that was better than anything I had in mind, and for much cheaper than I was expecting. I cannot give enough praise to Bruce and his wife for my experience at Bruce Julian Clothier. They are by far the best men's clothing store I've been to in the Charlotte area and the perfect spot if you're looking for a gentlemen's look. I worked with both Bruce and Diana during my visits and they really know their stuff. They combined patterns and colors that I would've never thought of. I felt like I was walking back in time when I walked into this unique place. I was searching for a quality suit different than what the chain stores offered. I found it and so much more here. And on top of all that, they serve the best bloody Mary I've had in my life here. Yes that sounds a bit odd, but it totally makes sense if you have been here and been through the experience of shopping here. For a suit wearing novice like myself, they were very patient and were able to explain the differences in suits and quality and help me make a knowledgeable decision.

We are in LOVE with BJC -- my husband has entire ROOM full of unique goodies that he gets complimented on mutilple times whenever he wears the items ! Love the all the food items and especially the drinks. BJC is definitely for the distinguished, worldly, well dressed gentleman. You won't find anything like it in the South that's for sure!

I really enjoy this store. They have excellent service. They don't pressure you and offer honest advice on style, color, fit, etc.
They offer a range of clothes from formal to casual. Most are a bit unique, so you not look like everyone else wearing the same thing.
The quality is excellent and I think a good value for what this various items cost.
I do not live nearby, but believe it is well worth the trip. Also really good Bloody Mary mix!

Bruce Julian is my 'go to' clothier. I started by purchasing beautiful hand-stiched suits from him. When I returned to work, many people noticed and asked where I bought them. I referred them to Bruce's website and word spread.
I like the selection at Bruce's. I am conservative and want to grow and become more fashionable. Bruce has given me advice over the years to work towards that goal. He has a wide spectrum of clothes to choose from.

I never leave one star reviews. I called this shop to inquire about the turnaround time on their tailoring service and was barked at over the phone by the owner that I should go across the street behind an ally if I wanted it fast and cheap. This is horrendous, what a complete joke! I don't care how "high end" you think you are, you still work in customer service you geriatric scab!

This is the best men's clothier in Charlotte, hands down. It is always difficult to shop for your man, but Bruce and his team make it easy! I walked in, told them the size and his general style, and they took over. They even wrapped it beautifully. Even though there is nothing for me, I still love shopping here. Loads of fun!

I do not usually leave negative reviews, but I am making an exception for This situation. I am a wedding professional who agreed with Bruce to donate a suit for a styled shoot that would be published and help promote local businesses, but he bailed on me the day before the shoot telling me "today is not a good day" (after we had already discussed a pick up time) and hanging up on me as I tried to explain it was too late for me to find another suit as the shoot was the following day. When I tried to call again to clarify why I had to pick up today, I was hung up on again. I would have

"SUIT UP" is definitely a phrase I do not get to use enough. That being said, I was in need of a suit and looked up Bruce Julian via yelp and saw that the store had great reviews - wanted to give it a shot, and I was not disappointed one bit.
I walked in after work around 5 pm and was immediately greeted by Diana, super -personable and ready to help me and my "suiting up" needs. Just by eyeing me in the few seconds of talking, we set out to find my size since I did not recall my jacket size. She was pretty spot on too with the first jacket I tried on... it fit like a glove

I don't know squat about suits....I primarily dress in Jordan's and other various hoops/athletic gear. Well as fate would have it, events started to pop up that required me to dress slightly better than a 6th grader.
Rather than go to a department store and just be annoyed at how ignorant I am to how humans are supposed to dress, I yelped a place that can take care of that for me. I found Bruce Julian Clothier and the Yelp reviews were spot on, too. I walked into the store and asked for help with a suit, and within 15 mins I had a suit that met my needs.
The service was great.

A real mens clothier. That's the bottom line with this place. The price point can probably turn most away but I look at it a bit differently. I figure that you can either go to Nordstrom, etc. and spend nearly the same amount and get not even close the amount of personal service.
These people working here really know how to treat you. Wine while you shop, recommendations on suitable attire and descriptions about the designers even. I also love the fact that you can get a cool funky design or if you are leaning to something more conservative, they have that too.
