Barany Jewelers is a second-generation business established by my father, Istvan Barany, in 1939. We operated in Cleveland, Brazil, Austria and Hungary before opening our current location in Medina County, a community we have served proudly since 1998. Since 1939, Istvan Barany's vision, unique designs and master bench skills have been well known in his native Hungary and the international jewelry industry.
His retirement brought me and my husband to the forefront of the business, and we are honored to share with you the benefits of my father's lifetime of experience as well as our own expertise. We are Direct Diamond Importers and enjoy the privilege of buying diamonds directly from the diamond cutters in Antwerp, Belgium.

Custom design is one of the things we love to do at Barany Jewelers. If you do not find what you have envisioned in our stock we can custom design it for you and bring your vision to life. We also partner with award winning designers to create the perfect piece for you. The process starts with a sketch for you in our showroom.
At Barany Jewelers we provide you with a jewelry insurance replacement document with all major purchases at no additional charge. If you have a personal piece of jewelry that you want appraised for insurance purposes or for your own information we have the knowledge and the experience to provide you with a formal or oral appraisal.
If you have a piece of jewelry that you love and want to modify it slightly, our expert jewelers will work with you to redesign it and make it look like a brand new piece. If you have an old wedding set and want to reset your diamonds in a new mounting we can do that too. Our skilled jewelers take pride in their craftsmanship and can reassure you that the results will be above and beyond your expectations.

We knew all along that Barany Jewelery is the most knowledgable in the business so when it came time for me to choose my fiance's engagement ring, I gave Liz and Mel a call. They were super helpful and dedicated to making sure that my desires for the ring were met (and also within budget). My fiance absolutely loves the final piece and couldn't be happier with how wonderful everything turned out. We'll be back to Barany's soon to pick out our engagement bands. My mother-in-law passed away unexpectedly, and she had a lot of jewelry. Most of it was costume, but we knew that she had many real pieces as well. The trouble was that everything was mixed together in her jewelry box.
For a very reasonable price, Liz at Barany Jewelers graciously agreed to help us determine which pieces were worth holding on to and which could be safely donated. Liz is a master jeweler, and she's obviously knowledgable and reassuringly competent. We felt confident with the final result.
We can't speak to the jewelry they sell as that wasn't top of our minds

My family has gotten several beautiful keepsakes from this lovely shop. I think it's rare to find a place with this type of history, and a family-owned place. It's true that jewelry is something to be passed down for generations, and this shop has just unique pieces made by artists from all over the world. I have a gorgeous pearl pendent, and several classic/classy pairs of earrings. I wear gold backings, because my ears are pretty sensitive. High quality and absolutely worth a look to explore what they have!
