Locke & Quinn
2016 Women of Excellence Awards Colleen M. Quinn, an attorney and owner of Locke & Quinn, as well as the Quinn Law Centers (including the Adoption & Surrogacy Law Center and the Women's Injury Law Center). Locke & Quinn named 2015 Litigator Award Winner. Having been conferred this prestigious National Award, the firm ranks among the Top 1% of all lawyers for: Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Litigation.

Most individuals making appointments with beauty or hair salons or medical spas do not anticipate the risk of injury associated with these businesses. However, it is essential to do your homework before making an appointment for a salon or spa procedure - even just a simple highlight. My wife and I used Locke and Quinn for our second-parent adoption of our now-five-month-old daughter.
Services
Providing sophisticated, experienced and aggressive representation of severely injured persons rendered with compassion. In the world of personal injury, women who sustain injuries often prefer to be represented by other women who can relate to female specific issues. Sometimes it takes a woman to understand the concerns of an injured woman and to understand the exact nature of a woman's injury.
Colleen Quinn and her team have assisted with the adoption of both of our children. She explained the process completely, assisted with the required forms and helped keep things going as smoothly as possible during the past year's events. While our more recent adoption of our daughter took longer than expected due to the pandemic, Ms Quinn kept us apprised of progress and updated us whenever she was able to.
Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers and visitors.
The term "hostile work environment" is often misunderstood. At Locke & Quinn, we often get employees calling us or coming in for a consultation who want to sue the employer for working in a "hostile work environment." However, just because you the employee might work in an unpleasant work environment does not mean that there is any legal cause of action.
You have just been notified that your job is being terminated but the company is offering you a separation or severance agreement. While the news of being terminated is typically very disappointing, you generally should welcome the offer of a separation agreement or severance package. Why?

Because unless you have an employment contract with your employer that says otherwise, or unless it is a mass lay off, in Virginia you are generally an employee at will. That means that the employer typically does not owe you anything and can terminate you for any reason at any time without any further compensation.

My wife and I used Locke and Quinn for our second-parent adoption of our now-five-month-old daughter. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional, kind, helpful, and patient as we navigated the process (as well as parenting for the first time). We had a wonderful experience and look forward to using them again when we go through the process with our future children.

During a turbulent year to undertake an adoption Colleen M. Quinn, Esq. and her paralegal Nancy Arthur made the process easy and allowed us to focus our energies on our new son. The challenges and worries around the process were eased by their prompt and clear communications of what was happening in the process. Colleen Quinn, Esq. is more than just an exceptional attorney - she is an amazing person as well. Energetic, passionate and knowledgeable she went above and beyond and her expertise was evident in the way she handled my case. Having had no more than the weekend to scrutinize and digest the contents of heaps of documents, she defended me effectively and effortlessly with well-reasoned arguments. Evidently, she had invested considerable time and effort assembling all the relevant facts and then preparing a strong defense. She is very reliable; she will not disappoint. Thank you, Colleen!

Colleen, thank you for taking my case and providing me the closure I needed in settling a medical negligence issue. Because of your diligence and support, I can breathe a lot easier knowing that my experience hasn't gone unnoticed and without liability on the provider's behalf. Your communication and support are appreciated by me and my husband and our family; after many turn-downs from other firms, we are grateful to have found you and your team. I will continue to recommend you to those looking for a compassionate lawyer who will fight for the closure and results that women direly need in whatever

Where do you go when you need an attorney? Most times you have no idea because there are hundreds of attorneys out there all claiming to be the best. I was able to find Attorney Quinn on the internet. I chose her because of her superior rating and prompt response. Attorney Quinn read my case and then gave me the legal reasons why it would be a difficult case to pursue. Based on her clear , thorough explanations, I decided to bring closure to the matter. It was the best decision I could have ever made. Thank you, Ms. Quinn and Peg, for the professional assistance you provided !!!!!!!!!!!! Brenda

When my ex-husband and I decided to get a divorce, we attempted to handle our separation without an attorney. Unfortunately, us not being educated with the law, I found myself in a position that was not to my benefit. Thankfully, I found Shannon Otto with Locke & Quinn who was able to right my wrong and be by my side during the upcoming events leading to my divorce. My divorce ended as amicably as it could have been between two people dissolving a marriage and I walked away with not only financials and other decisions to my benefit, but also with my head held high. Without Ms. Otto's knowledge

My wife and I worked with Colleen Quinn and her paralegal Charli (CharSalle) on my daughter's international re-adoption. We are in Fairfax, VA and they were happy to work with us even though we weren't local to them. Everything was done by email and mail. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and were very knowledgeable about the process. We worked almost entirely with Charli after the initial emails and phone calls and she was great to work with. They filed all of our paperwork with our court, everything went smoothly, and we received our Final Order. Charli has always

I worked with Richard Locke over the past year and a half. During that time, he provided me with counsel that was intelligent, balanced and trustworthy. He was respectful of the difficulty of the situation, and provided an educated and thoughtful approach to the process. Rather than focus on the drama and minutiae of the case, Richard was driven to provide favorable legal results in the most positive way possible. In many ways, his demeanor helped to keep me focused and calm throughout the process. He combines a superior knowledge of the law with a wealth of experience inside and outside of the
