Very good, honest service. It took some time to get an appointment, but once there, they were able to get the parts they needed and take care of the car quickly. The Nissan dealer tried to convince me that I needed to change my brakes 6 months ago, they told me the brakes would probably only last a few weeks. Well it’s been about six months and the folks at Vaupell told me the brakes still had about 15% life left to them. They didn’t try to rush me into getting my brakes done right now either. I decided to do so on my own so I wouldn’t run into brake issues in the middle of winter. This is

We brought our car in with a myriad of issues and the Vaupell team handled it all very well. We felt that they provided a very thorough report post-inspection and gave us a good sense of our options for repairs - what to do now versus in the future. Work was very satisfactory, however, I made one request to three separate staffers that was never fulfilled. I asked to see the damaged part.
When I came to pay for the job, the part was “not available“ this happened after I made A phone call to three separate people on staff requesting to see the damaged part the week before. I understand that some parts have to be returned to the manufacturer. All I wanted to do was see the damage on that part before it was returned. This never happened.

I'm so grateful for Brian's expertise. I brought my 2014 Hyundai in for a simple oil change. He said that he heard a noise in the engine and that it sounded like a crankshaft bearing going it. He said I should take it to Hyundai, because they are having all sorts of engine problems. I couldn't take it in, because most dealership mechanics are on strike. Shortly after I talked with Brian, I got a notice in the mail from Hyundai to take my car in for a software upgrade: Knock Sensor Detection System. The dealership told me I needed a full engine replacement ($$$). I took the car to Brian for a 2nd opinion. He did an extensive and thorough inspection and was able to establish that it was only the turbo that needed to be replaced (and some cleaning of other parts). Saved me a ton of money and now the car runs like new again. Very happy!!

Brian, the owner, personally stopped to see if I needed anything when I was broken down on the side of the road in LaGrange Park - ended up getting my car towed to the shop and I’m sure it will continue to the The Best Experience when the repairs are complete! Side note - they have the coolest key drop system where it appears you can even pick your car up after hours if needed - perfect for people that work hours like me downtown!

I have a 2004 Ford Mustang that needed some work to get back on the road. I took it to Brian and his team at Vaupell Auto & Car Wash. I didn't know what it would take to get it up and running again. Brian and his team were great! They provided me with a detailed summary of what they recommended. I had a lot of questions and they were patient and answered all of them. I am very happy with the results and my Mustang is running like a champ. I recommend this auto shop and plan on taking my Mustang back to Brian and his team for any future repairs and maintenance.

Love this auto shop! Brian and his team fix everything so well. They look at everything and also explain what needs to be done now for safety and longevity vs. everything that you'd like to have done but can wait... so the estimate and/or bill isn't crazy and you can space out the cost. So helpful! They figured out my husband's dead car issue, which we were sure was going to be a fortune, and it was fixed fast and at a fraction of what we thought. I bought new tires here too - their service that comes with the tire purchase covered the leaks from rim issues that happened 6 months
