Hello, let me introduce myself, I am Katie Tan. I have been doing hair professionally for over 18 years and makeup even longer. Although my love for both began much earlier in life. I was trained at the Carsten Institute and then went on the his salon where I assisted and worked for Carsten Wilms for over 4 years.

This review is way overdue, but I wanted to thank Katie for taking such great care of me and my daughter on my wedding day. I have been going to Katie regularly for over ten years. She consistently goes out of her way to work around my crazy travel schedule year after year. On my wedding day, my hair and makeup, as well as my daughters, looked so beautiful that I felt like a princess inside and out. I would highly recommend Katie for consistently great hair, and especially on a special day when you need your hair and/or makeup done. Thank you for all you do!

First time getting my hair done by Katie, and I have to say, this was probably the best experience with a hair stylist. She helped me decide which shade to color my hair and was extremely friendly throughout the whole service. And of course, I absolutely loved the way my hair turned out. I will definitely keep coming back to see her.

Katy has done my hair for over two years now since I moved here from the Midwest. So glad I found her! I recently had her cut my hair somewhat short since I hadn't had it cut during Covid. Hadn't had it this short for decades. Plus she put a new color on that I had never had before. Well let me tell I have never received so many compliments about my hair in my life! Strangers have commented on how vibrant and pretty my hair color looks. My friends say it's the best cut I've ever had! Her salon is super clean and she is truly a genius with hair!

I ended up with a green tint in my hair and the rest was all a dirty blond with no highlights. This was not even close to what we talked about doing. How embarrassing when your husband says what happed your hair is green. I paid for this and then when I reached out to Katie to let her know I needed to get if fixed she offered 5 days later, really I am supposed to walk around with this hair for 5 days! Needless to say a paid more money and had someone else fix this disaster.

I'm always terrified when I have to find a new hair stylist, but after seeing the reviews I figured it was worth a shot. Katie did not disappoint. She is amazing! Plus, she's incredibly nice and attentive. She's very easy to talk to and there was never an awkward moment. Also, you can book online which I absolutely love. We're all very busy people and don't have time to go back and forth on the phone to find a time that fits. I can't wait to see what she can do with color.

Katy is one of THE best finds I've ever found!! I was desperate to find a hair stylist for my "special needs" hair. I am a cancer survivor. I then found myself out of remission and undergoing chemo treatments again. Not only is she so sweet to talk to about what I've been thru/going thru, she is so knowledgeable about exactly how to cut, color & style to make dealing with my hair loss a far less traumatic ordeal!! AND I look good if I can say so myself I promise, you will not be disappointed in whatever your needs may be.

Katie is an amazing hair stylist, and I love getting my hair done at Salon KT! She has a wonderful ability to understand exactly what I want (even when I don't know how to describe it or don't even have a photo for example) and she makes it happen with my hair. I love love love her talents with hair color, both highlights and all-over color. I constantly get compliments on my hairstyles whenever I am out and about.
