Our studio's family friendly environment is distinctive. Whether you're a beginner or have chosen to study performing arts seriously, we open the doors for you to explore. JSOD is a studio with a commitment to both recreational and competitive students. You may take one class per week or a full program.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jacqueline's School of Dance (JSOD). JSOD has been an established dance studio in the Durham region since 1984. Our current location offers four bright, spacious, and climate controlled studios that operate six days a week.
Our instructors are fully qualified members of the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing), the Paula Morgan Technique, Acrobatic Arts, Leap and Learn, Twinkle Star Dance, ,R andolph Academy of the Performing Arts, Ryerson and York Universities.They are professionals who continually educate themselves with new, innovative styles and techniques.

Jacqueline's School of Dance is conveniently located in central Pickering close to all amenities. There is ample parking and the studio is in a well lit and maintained plaza. There is easy access to/from the 401 from the Brock Road South exit in Pickering (see map). The school offers 4 large bright climate controlled studios with professional sprung dance floors.
Jacqueline's School of Dance offers unsurpassed instruction in ballet, pointe, acro, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, and lyrical, focusing on technique and musicality. Classes are organized according to age and experience on both recreational and competitive levels. Our Twinkle Tots start as young as 2 years old while there seems to be no limit to the ages of our adult dancers.
At Jacqueline's School of Dance, all class levels, beginner through advanced dancers, will be encouraged, motivated and challenged by faculty and staff. All dancers will develop knowledge of dance disciplines of their choice or level of commitment. Dancers choose which classes are of best interest to them and JSOD's professional staff will place dancers in the appropriate level according to individual ability and age.
