Ernest M. Upshaw established Fidelity Roof Company in 1948. Post WWII found Northern California full of growth and promise. The economy was strong, and growth was evident by new construction of homes, schools, and commercial and industrial buildings. At the time, Mr. Upshaw was manager of one of the largest roofing companies in the area.
After 10 years of employment, he committed himself to establishing a new company. He recruited a group of like-minded roofing professionals who were: "dedicated to the faithful attention of the roofing needs of home and business owners alike." It would have been natural for Mr. Upshaw to name the new company after himself.

Fidelity Roof Company has been a licensed contractor in the state of California since its inception in 1948. Completion of over 10,000 commercial, retail, industrial and residential building projects. Fidelity's principals and management team collectively bring over 200 years of experience and knowledge.
Fidelity Roof provides free estimates for roof replacement or new roof installation(s) on your property. First, we provide a preliminary estimate based on the general information you provide, this is not considered binding. The preliminary estimate is not considered binding and you're under no obligation to have Fidelity Roof Company do any or all of the work, either immediately or in the future.
Our roof leak response services are available to commercial properties and Fidelity Roof's current residential customers with roofs under warranty. Our service department is able to respond to roof leak situations and our technicians are highly trained specialists, equipped with the tools and materials necessary to identify and remediate most sources of water infiltration on the spot.
Fidelity Roof has a C-46 solar license and its primary focus is disassembly and assembly of existing solar systems during the roofing process. If a new solar installation is desired, Fidelity Roof has assembled a team to help with design and provide an end-to-end solution to ensure a leak-free installation.
A green roof is a roof of a building, partially or completely covered, with vegetation, soil (or a growing medium), planted over a waterproofing membrane. The term is used to indicate roofs that utilize "green" technology, such as solar panels or a photovoltaic module. Green roofs are also referred to as eco-roofs, vegetated roofs and living roofs.

Considering the average response time for contractors these days, and the onset of the rainy season, we did not expect to get an estimate, much less a complete roof this season.
The answering service was polite and informative, and our contractor Chip responded early and often.
We needed a new roof on our home, and an integrated gutter system, as well as a roof on the garage on our rental unit. The estimates were accurate, and Chip was very communicative. Both properties were scheduled within a month of our first call.
The crew was punctual, polite, professional, and they cleaned up meticulously

Overall great experience and highly recommend! My wife and I noticed a small moist separation in our living room ceiling the week of thanksgiving. In a frantic we called numerous companies to try and get a roofer to come take a look for a possible leak and found that almost everyone was booked for a good 4-5 months out. These guys are totally respectful and dependable.
They are very honest and they have the best prices and services. On Friday I spoke to an attendant and asked for a visit for today and they were able to fit us in to see our roof leak and for estimates.

This family business run by Chip Upshaw gave the best price of 3 bids I got for replacing our flat roof with a high quality IB roofing material instead of the shorter lived typical tar and gravel roof. This coming summer will be the 5 year mark since the roof was done and so far we have had no problems what so ever. The only reason I was tempted to give a 4 star instead of 5 was due to a couple of communication snafus (probably due to the tenant in the building playing owner in part) but Chip was happy to address and remedy all concerns with a roof vent that disappeared and the few floating screws

Fidelity Roof damaged the inside of my house while installing a new roof. Although they told me in person that they would repair the damage, I later received a letter stating that it was "consequential damage caused by normal construction activities involving the exterior of your home and was not the result of negligence on the part of the roofing contractor." Really?? When the roofing company steps through your ceiling wallboard? Be leery of hiring this company to install your roof.

Thank goodness for Chip and Fidelity Roofing!!! We unfortunately went with another roofing company to replace our old roof and the first time it rained we had leaks. After that roofing company "fixed" the leaks, we had even more leaks the next time it rained. When that roofing company would not respond to our calls and letters, we reached out to Chip and Fidelity. Chip was professional, courteous and upfront with us about repairing our roof. Obviously they could not warranty the entire roof because they did not install it. He gave us a bid, the company did the work and they stay right

It's rare that you hire a contractor who exceeds your expectations, but this was the case with Fidelity Roof. Re -roofing our house was difficult and a very big job. It's a Tudor on a hill and the roof has many sharp slopes and seams. A number of reputable roofing companies didn't even submit a bid after looking at the scope of the project. But Fidelity co-owner, Chip Upshaw, submitted a bid within several days.
