Such a wonderful tow service. Helped me out a lot when I was in a tough spot late at night. Really cares a lot about its customers 5 +++ stars would absolutely use again and recommend to anyone.

I did not use this company. I used College Towing. Kautz wanted 150.00 and College did it for 80.00. Raymond with College Towing handled my Mercedes with kid gloves. Couldn't ask for better service and care than Raymond with College towing rendered.

I had my truck stolen from Fresno, CA it was a 93 Red Nissan Pickup and CHP found it in Grover Beach, when I called to get information on how much to get my truck out from Kautz Towing they told me it was gonna be it was $610 for 1 day to pull it out. I drive out there to pick it up and when I get there they tell me they were too busy to help me and that I was gonna have to wait. My guess is that they do this alot to innocent people and make them wait days so that they can keep charging those outrageous fees. I explained I drove almost 4 hours to get it and mind you I called the night before and

Have had to use Kautz Towing on several occasions, unfortunately. They show up quickly, fix my problem efficiently, and are always helpful, and most of all, they are genuinely nice people. I would not use anyone else in south county. I can't speak about their rates because my insurance covers it. But, no matter whatever they charge, it's worth it!

A few days ago, I stuck my car in sand about 10 feet away from a drive way. It was my mistake, and my own insurance company wouldn't deal with the issue.
So I called Kautz Towing, the nearest towing service at that location. The owner told me that their rate is $300 per hour, and asked for my credit card number through the phone. He said this is just to protect their business in case I changed my mind so they could hold $300 against my account.
The tow truck arrived shortly for they are just 3 miles away. The guy pulled my car off the sand in a few minutes. But to my surprise, they told me that

A real person actually greats a caller! The guys I've talked to were pleasant, informed on what the situation was and I got the info as I needed. For towing being the original local boys they're quick and professional and know how to treat vehicles with care.

Thanks so much Kautz! We got stuck in the sand at Oceanic Dunes and they were able to come get us unstuck within 20 minutes. Price was on the high-end for the amount of work they had to do, but I guess they are the only ones that will come out to the sand so that is worth it.

My electric Nissen Leaf would not come on at full power to drive and I was stuck at Pismo Preserve. I called my road side assistance company and they transfered me to Kautz Towing. He was there in less than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, my electric car wouldn't go out of park. The driver, Mickey, recommended he use a lifting tow with replacement front wheels. He made sure my insurance would cover the extra time and new tow truck. He was there again really quickly. He backed my car into my driveway so I could plug it up again. Great job Kautz Towing and Mickey.

My insurance roadside assistance did not communicate all the details of my situation and provided an incorrect location to Kautz.
Jacob was pleasant and positive on the phone. They were timely and still towed my car even though I was located outside of their towing area.

I needed to have a car that was abandoned on my property towed. I called Kautz towing and spoke with Jacob who said he would have Mickey head over to me on his next stop. He was here within 30 minutes. Mickey had it out within minutes. Both gentlemen were very professional, efficient and a delight to work with. I will always use this company in the future after such a great experience!

Due to the heavy traffic yesterday on the 101, we decided to check Google Maps for 'alternate routes.' This led us off Hwy 1 into farm land with un-paved roads. There were at least 6 cars behind us with the same mindset. However, with the recent rains, these roads had turned to mud. There was no place to turn around and you couldn't stop for fear of sinking, so we had to see it through. All was well until we had to choose between the lesser of two levels of mud...
Needless to say we - and a car behind us - got bogged down. They called AAA and we called Allstate Roadside Assistance

The owner was Awesome to deal with, (pretty sure I woke him up) very personable and pleasant. Mickey was the gentleman who came out to help me and was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend this company.

Thanks to Mickey, our motorcycle was towed safely from hwy 1 to our home in Nipomo and again the next day to be repaired in San Luis Obispo.

I recently locked my keys, wallet, and phone in my car . Geico sent me a list of towing companies to call for help, and Kautz was #1 on the list. The guy I spoke to on the phone was EXTREMELY helpful and kind. I was super stressed, and I was that annoying customer who called back to see what the ETA was... he again was super awesome. The guy who showed up to get into my car was equally helpful and kind. I will DEFINITELY call them if I am in need of help again. Thanks guys!!!

Been a week, still hasn't called back. Luckily I was able to find another company to help out.

Excellent customer service, from dispatcher to driver. A bit expensive, but we are at the beach. I've now have found my tow service, if ever I need a tow job. ;). Easy, fast transaction picking up vehicle, and my baby was taken care of. Thanks to the staff for making this soooo easy for me.

Vulture-like. Extortion. It really pains me to write a critical review...I always wanna give folks every benefit of the doubt, and, I'm sure Kautz employees have helped a lot of people out of a jam when they really needed it. I called the owner and waited 3 days for a call back...the owner hasn't called...so here's the review:

I was charged $300 for a 2 mile tow, $75 for 90 minutes of storage (the rate is $75/day, but of course there's no break for using just 90 minutes), a $150 "gate

Gas gauge registered 1/4 so i thought i was good. Dont worry i told my wife after she said let's get gas for 5th time.

Kauptz was very friendly and on time. It was expensive gas, or so my wife told me!!

Guess what ill do the next time im at 1/4 tank??
