I HIGHLY recommend MJ Electric. These guys rescued me from a kitchen-remodeling nightmare starring an electrician from a different company. A friend recommended that I call MJ Electric who sent someone out the very next day (!!) to take a look at everything. They had the actual work finished within a week. The owner even came out to personally inspect the work after it was done.
They answer the phone, they show up on time, they do things correctly, and they clean up! I will use them for everything going forward because I trust them, they are honest, and they provide top-quality electrical services

Called MJ Electric for out door electrical repair/replacement. They had a guy out here in less than 2 hours......took out old system, put in new, ,,,, super quick, super efficient. I will use them again without hesitation.

I installed 3 ceiling fans in my former home - same era and construction type as my current home. I bought two new ceiling fans for my current home and decided to hire someone who knew how to do it this time because the electrical boxes in the ceiling were different than what I'm used to. MJ Electric sent a very nice electrician who spent 2 hours trying to figure it out, then had to have the business owner make a site visit and explain how to do the installation. My invoice was $450 to install two ceiling fans, which is more than twice as much as I expected it to be. Buyer beware.

A couple years ago our general contractor used MJ Elec for our basement remodel, we were impressed with the professional/quick job so when we needed an electrician we called them. (We tried someone closer to home, their estimate and timetable to come out were way beyond what we expected/needed). Mike's guy was here within an hour, found the problem and the price couldn't be beat. We have 3 other projects that we'll be calling them for.

MJ Electric came out next day to fix an immediate wiring issue which had left a large portion of my house without power. They were very responsive and reasonably priced.
Would have given 5 stars, except the 3-way switch which was replaced at my house was left in a state such that there is no way for both switches to be in the down/off position and have the light be off. It's a small thing but I'm pedantic.
I will be using them again for future projects.

Just recently in the past month on an unrelated project, I had been dealing with multiple electrical companies that had poor to no communication and even no shows. So I was a bit disheartened with electrical companies in general.
However, I had new electrical projects that needed to be tackled. I e-mailed MJ Electric on a Thursday night and was surprised to get a response back from Mike within an hour or two.
They came out today (Wednesday) just like they promised. I presented the the tasks at hand, we did a bit of creative problem solving and they were able to do everything extremely quick

I have a rental property in Minnesota and I was recommended to call MJ Electric who has been around for some time. I had MJ himself, the owner, come out to price a job that was done incorrectly by the previous homeowner (whomever they hired). MJ explained what was done incorrectly and how to fix it in a way a laymen can understand. Side note...I see Devin's comment and I wonder if we are even talking about the same person? Aparently if you are new to electrical or don't know much about it don't call this place everything seemed ok until you ask a few to many questions and then mike treats you like a piece of garbage because your "stupid" and don't know what your talking about he's very rude and I would no way in hell recommend this place there much better company's out there do your research and find a company that's worth your money
