We chose 401 Gourmet to cater for our wedding after my husband sampled some of his skills at his bachelor party. Mark is exceptionally accommodating and patiently consulted with us on a number of occasions as we honed in on what we wanted for our wedding menu. Everything was delicious!
Following the hors d'oeuvres (including scallops in bacon and wild mushrooms in filo pastry - OMG), we opted for a traditional Italian family style menu that included artisanal bread and butter, roasted seasonal veg, homemade pastas, along with meatballs and sausages.We also ordered quiches to provide breakfast for all our guests the next morning but little did we know it would be the smoked salmon terrine that would steal the show - a must try!

Mark and his team at 401 were hands down the best vendor I had on my wedding day. Mark's communication throughout the planning phase was top notch, professional, and easy. Mark coordinated with other vendors and went over and above to ensure that everything was taken care of. The presentation of the food on the day of my wedding surpassed all my expectations - from flower decorations on the individual butter plates, to the salads, mains and deserts - couldn't be happier and recommend 401 to absolutely everyone :) THANK YOU MARK & TEAM

Mark catered my last minute "mini-mony". We planned everything in 2 weeks. Mark and his team are very professional and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Not only that but when the team was done cooking, you couldn't even tell a party was hosted - the place was spotless. He also printed personalized menus for us - incredible attention to detail!

Every event with 401 Gourmet is a good one! Chef Mark serves up some of the most incredible catered meals I've ever enjoyed. I also appreciate their attention to sourcing locally and using high quality ingredients when so many others cut corners. The whole team is fantastic - they have a great sense of timing and flow, and they're super accommodating (and nice about it!). It's refreshing. Also, I will never not crave the fried goat cheese with fig jam and honey! It's just so good....

If you have an event that requires catering in the greater Providence area, look no further. Mark and his staff were excellent and a real pleasure to meet. The food was fantastic - tomato sauce that impressed some VERY particular pasta-eaters, lobster rolls that wowed the most ardent of New Englanders, among many, many other delicious appetizers and entrees. This team is the real deal - they catered our COVID-era wedding and took great precaution to ensure all safety protocols were followed and everyone was at ease during a time of such heightened caution.

Mark and his team from 401 Gourmet gave us the Covid wedding of our dreams! We would give them 10 stars if we could. The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptional. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking full attention to detail, service above and beyond just food prep, and a delectable farm-to-table menu that utilizes as much seasonal and local fare as possible. We can’t wait to use them again and again in the future!

Mark and the team at 401 gourmet catered a private lunch at our home for nearly 40 people. To say we were thrilled with how our lunch turned out is an understatement....the food was amazing, the service flawless and Mark's team left our kitchen spotless. We received multiple compliments on the quality of the food served and we couldn't have been happier with how the day went. Mark was professional and responsive to my questions and was able to cater easily for a few dietary restrictions we had such as dairy / gluten free. The presentation of the lunch was gorgeous too! Mark catered our wedding and we couldn't be happier! He was so patient and flexible as he worked with us to put together a delicious menu that reflected our vision for our wedding food. He was also so helpful in thinking about all the details that we wouldn't have thought about, and was very responsive to all emails and questions- we knew from our first meeting that we were in great hands. Mark catered my wedding and it was a wonderful experience! He was so warm and responsive to all our needs. He put me at ease during all the planning, because he was very organized and clear, but also very flexible and easy to work with. We are vegetarian and vegan and his menu knocked it out of the park! I have never eaten wedding food that good! I wish Mark had a restaurant so I could go back and eat there all the time! His tofu was so good that even the meat eaters who told me they don't even like tofu were complimenting it! And he was also able to accommodate our gluten-free guests! I would

I highly recommend 401 Gourmet! Mark and his crew catered my “mile stone“ birthday party at my home. Both the food and presentation were lovely and delicious! Don’t miss the candied bacon or grilled watermelon and feta h’ordeuvres, and quinoa beet salad or scallops with Israeli couscous! A fine choice!

We had 401 Gourmet Caterers at one of our meetings in March. Mark was extremely accommodating and helped us create a menu our guests would love. He also was extremely patient with us as we had to postpone our event a day due to the weather. They knocked it out of the park with the food! The candied bacon was a huge hit! Highly recommend and we look forward to working with you again soon!
