I visited Tattered today and had a great experience, per usual. They have a variety of on trend brands ranging from FA to Juicy Couture and others like Urban Outfitters etc. The customer service was great (thank you Lorelei and Sophia!). The store is clean and pretty organized for a thrift/buy/sell store. I was a regular at the Buffalo Exchange on 2nd street and now that they are closed, Tattered has been a great substitute and I wish I went there more often before. They also have a higher buy/trade amount which is great. I can't wait to visit again!

It a state regulation and has been for some time now that mask are required in all indoor operations regardless of vaccination status. When I brought it up to the older woman behind the counter, who I assumed is the owner, she was very dismissive of this. She said something about allowing people to make the decision for themselves, perhaps she is ignorant to the state wide mask regulation and the detrimental pandemic we are currently in. My friends told me that once I left the store she showed annoyance at my complaint, very unprofessional. I honestly have not seen them enforce mask the entirety

I should have read the reviews before I went there these ppl are not nice they low balled me on all my name brand items Coach purses. 5 leather jackets Amongst a lot of other items . Lol. I laugh because it was such a small amount compared to what I have. I normally give to the Salvation Army or a women center. It was my very first time selling . I took some items to another place and got a much better deal. Therefore I will not be returning to those ppl with the remaining name brand items purses shoes from the East Coast Styles. God Bless their business.

Such a cool and cutesy store, I just love the vibe there. I was able to find this vintage-y sweatpants that retailed for $45 (condition: brand new) but in the store it’s only $22.
The staff are lovely as well. Their outfit are also on point!
One more thing I loove how they don’t play those annoying mainstream music. b/c frankly those music annoy me lol.
A bit of suggestion, I wish they change the dressing room doors from curtain to lockable doors. That way customer feel more comfortable putting on clothes.

Good finds but staff is pretty rude which makes the experience uncomfortable. Tried to give them a chance but sadly I’ve been here a handful of times and each time has been unpleasant. Not very welcoming and the girls here think that they are just too cool. Customer service is so important. Also, the girls should be wearing face masks.

I dropped my clothes off there and they immediately rejected everything when I had over 3 trash bags of clothes , half new , half designer , everything was in great condition . When I asked why the Italian booties that have never been worn or the new urban sweater wasn't chosen they proceeded to say they have trouble selling items those items . In reality that's what they were asking for on their sign and the store was filled with similar items in worse condition then anything I had brought in. Then when I kept questioning because I was genuinely curious they were just silent. Ignoring

The cleanliness of this store is poor and has a lingering sent of body odor. Additionally, zero safety protocols are followed by the employees/owner as if Covid applies to everyone else but them. The style aesthetic is difficult to pinpoint and higher end clothing is usually passed up for funky "tattered" garments. Brand knowledge is lacking and it's clearly shown in how the buyers assess high quality clothing with little understanding and how they dress themselves. Fashion is subjective but this store's identity is confusing, the environment is unsanitary, and the customer

Do NOT sell your clothes here! the staff is extremely pretentious, unhelpful, and racist. The clothing is overpriced considering the condition it's in and the store credit rate for selling is terrible, cash is even worse. I brought in an authentic Christian Dior slip and they offered me $8 for it. This store is a joke, please support other vintage shops instead!

NOT WORTH IT. The experience of this place is not worth the time or energy!! Selling your clothes here is most definitely not worth it, they treat you like second-class citizens. The OLDer lady behind the counter is so rude and clearly doesn’t know anything about good customer service. She probably rubbed off on her employees, assuming she’s the owner. Which makes me so sad, since the rest of the staff are most likely in their teens. What a poor example to be leading for young women. SUPER disappointing for Long Beach.

The service is absolute terrible. The girl with the colored hair like platinum and purple was especially rude after I complimented her hair. The whole time I was selling my clothes I felt judged and they belittle their customers for being poor. They are condescending when working with customers and need to be put in check. Do not recommend this place for selling or buying because they will jip you when selling and overprice their clothes way too much. They tried to tell me they were going to sell brand new PACSUN shorts for $8 and tried giving me $3 for them so I took them back. They’re absolutely

I wouldn't walk in considering this a "thrift" store. They have a lot of good stuff! Just a bit pricey, although most of it is higher end, it felt a bit outdated. I did bring some pieces to sell here, and they let me know they don't buy/sell fast fashion, despite the fact I saw a few forever 21 pieces around the store. All together I will be going back, they had some nice Motel pieces at the front marked for about 20 dollars cheaper than you would get them online!

Satisfied with my sell and purchase. I had a bag of clothing I was going to donate, looked up their sell policies, and knew not everything would be bought by the store. I figured that I might as well try and see what I can get before donating since I had a few items, brand new with tags. I received $60 for 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of khakis and a dress... the cash offer not store credit which would have been more, but not bad for items I was simply going to get rid of. I donated the clothes they did not buy... Only wish they had a donation program as well so I wouldn't have to make a second

I've been coming here for 5+ years as a buyer and a seller! Ive never had a bad experience but felt compelled to finally write a review about my trip today!
I had some stuff lying around I've been meaning to sell online but honestly it's not worth the hassle when tattered is right down the block. I brought in my clothes they meticulously went over my goods and brought to my attention why they didn't take my leftover garments in a professional manner. I get it they appeal to a younger demographic so them not wanting my old outdated shirts and skinny jeans makes sense, guess

Don't even try to sell here. The staff's energy was off-putting and cold. It was clear that they didn't want anyone in the store. Right off the bat I got a condescending lecture about their policies, with her emphasizing that they care about wear and tear. I knew the brands I was bringing in (Express and small boutiques) had a small chance of selling, and I was okay with that! But the fact that I had several items that cost over $90, and new with tags, and I'm seeing clothes in store with snags, tears, rips, seams coming undone, and even stains. Apparently they don't care

I had a weird experience today at this place. First off, non of the employees were wearing masks and as far as I'm concerned, mask mandates especially indoors is still a thing.
Even if you're vaccinated. It's still not ok.
I came in with a ton of good clothing brands like Madewell, Zara, Anthropologie and a few others but the girl who took care of me only took a handful of things.
This place isn't clear on who their audience is, but I can tell by the sizing and items they picked, that they cater to people who are the smaller side and that their hand picking can come off

Reasonably priced wide variety of gently used clothing, hats, shoes, purses including new jewelry. Big changing spaces towards the back of the store.
Their items are organized by size and type of clothing, such as dresses, pants, shorts, shirts, and sweaters.
This store is located in a big plaza, so there is ample space nearby.
