If you are looking for a children's orthodontist, the best time to bring your child in to see us for their first orthodontic evaluation is around age 7. At this stage, we may not recommend orthodontic treatment yet, but we can continue to monitor your child's development to recommend the right time to begin.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a child first see an orthodontist by age 7 for early treatment and evaluation. However, most permanent teeth erupt by age 12. At this time, we can easily evaluate your teen's smile for crowding, gaps, and bite issues. Another reason the early teenage years are a good time for orthodontic treatment is because teens do not yet have many of the negative associations with braces.
When it comes to adult treatment, one thing is for sure: braces aren't just for kids anymore. If you have healthy gums and bones, we can change your tooth alignment at any age. Everything about Smiles is great! Staff, service... we came for my daughter, who now has braces. Dr. Larson and the women here, they have been wonderful. If I had concern for my daughter, the staff would comfort me immediately. Not ever having braces myself, they would be reassuring. It'll be bittersweet when we no longer need to come. Until then it's always a pleasant experience for my daughter. Look forward to the beautiful outcome. Thank you, Dr. Larson and all who work here.

New client. This is not my 1st rodeo in braces. This is something new to have them this far back in my mouth though. The biggest plus is no gunk or slime in my mouth for impressions. Stuff makes me gag and choke.
Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone seems to have their routine down. The day I 1st showed up, we had a couple of the ladies singing to music, so you get free entertainment. :)
Parking in Puyallup location is hard for large vehicles, but you can park on roadside. Parking is ok in Graham.

Dr. Ethan Larson is amazing! Our whole family loves coming into his office. He and his entire staff have really made us feel like family. It's a very comfortable environment from the time you first walk in the door until you're finished with your treatment. He did my oldest daughter's smile, then mine and is just now starting on my youngest daughter. We are extremely happy with the results of our orthodontic treatments and are more than excited to see the transformation of our youngest daughter'a smile!
