Dr. Chad W. Smart graduated with honors from California Lutheran University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry, receiving numerous academic and clinical awards. An elected member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, Dr. Smart graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1996.
Dr. Armijo graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After graduation, she attended the University of Washington Dental School where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society for those students who exemplify the highest academic standards.
Over the years our patients have taught us a lot. One of the lessons we've taken to heart is how much patients appreciate options that meet their unique needs. I've been a client at smart orthodontic group for almost 10 years now. i've had an amazing experience here until recently.
today, i had to go back to get a permanent metal retainer after breaking my original one. the woman who was taking care of my impressions was extremely rough with my teeth. she had to remove residue glue from the previous retainer and took off some of my ENAMEL. horrible time spent there. i was on the brink of tears. instead of recognizing this, she forced her thumb and pointer finger to widen my mouth as i instinctively was trying to close my mouth.

I moved here to Tacoma just a couple weeks ago, and of course my permanent retainer promptly broke. I called Smart Orthodontic Group and they got me in same day. Everyone in the office is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and very good at what they do. They care about their patients.

This review is 18 months in the making! I'm 34 years old, have always wanted straight teeth, and almost 2 years ago, I scheduled a consult with Dr. Kokich. He outlined his plans, and said he felt confident we would get everything corrected, which was: overcrowding, overlapping, and severe overbite. My treatment took 18 months to get everything corrected, but it was SO WORTH IT!
Today, I had all my attachments removed, teeth polished, etc. I had to hold back tears at how impressed I was with this new smile. Dr. Kokich and his team of experts are top notch! From the moment you walk in the door

Best place for braces! I was a patient here 12 years ago as an adult, and treatment was a very pleasant experience as the staff is kind, gentle, caring and professional. As an adult in braces, it was pretty embarrassing, but the team here put me at ease immediately. Today my kids are patients here.

Throughout my life, I've been self-conscious about my teeth. Guarding how I'd smile and covering my lower, crooked row. Dr. Smart and his ridiculously talented staff are about to change all of that for me. From the first meeting with them, I knew I had come to the right place. This review is long overdue!! I love coming to Smart Orthodontics! Had braces a while back but wasn't satisfied with the work & Dr.Smart fixed my smile & bite with Invisalign. He's a perfectionist and I love the way my smile looks now. Everyone at the office is so friendly and sweet & have always been cool about me bringing my little rascals along with me;-) Highly recommend this office & tell everyone about them!

My entire family has, at one time or another, been a patient of Dr. Chad Smart. Obviously, I trust his work. Dr. Smart is an accomplished orthodontist that has treated our family members with both invisilign and the traditional wire braces. He goes above and beyond to make sure his work is perfect. On a personal note, Dr. Smart is a doctor with a gentle and positive personality that creates a wonderful atmosphere at his office. An added bonus is his office staff. They are not only well-trained and precise, but kind and compassionate.I give Dr. Smart and his entire office a 10 out of 5 stars

I am someone who is by nature, very nervous about going to the dentist. I picked Dr. Smart because I heard great things about him and his office and after being a client for the last year, he has not disappointed. I am in treatment with invisalign and could not be happier with my progress, but even more than him being a "smile magician" he is very warm and friendly as well as his staff. I always feel like part of a family when I go in for appointments. He is a perfectionist and works with me every time to make sure my smile is exactly where we both want it to be :) I would highly recommend

When shopping for an Orthondontist, I selected very carefully. I had several exams and I felt immediately at home with Dr. Smart. His office is immaculate and modern, his staff is phenomenally friendly and they have COOKIES! But most of all, my teeth are beautiful. I have had my braces off for over a year and I cannot count how many compliments I have gotten over my smile. I am so happy with the outcome and had an amazing experience at every single one of my appointments.
