St. John's Nursery School offers an organized educational environment that focuses on the development of the "whole child". We strive to enhance the growth and development of each child's social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical skills in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. We believe each day brings opportunities for love, learning and laughter.
We facilitate the child's successful transition from home to school and partner with parents to develop the child's independence, self-confidence, and love of learning, so each child has a solid foundation for continued success in future schooling. Our primary goal is to foster the social, emotional and physical growth of each child.

SJNS is a self-supporting, non-profit program for 2 through 5 year old children, located on the campus of The Episcopal Church of St. John on the Mountain (SJOTM). The SJNS curriculum, while not religious in nature, includes certain aspects of religious life, such as a blessing before snacks and observance of various religious holidays.
St. John's has had such a positive impact on my family! Not only have my children thrived at school, but St. John's allows parents to be a part of the learning process. I have loved getting to visit my children in their classes and seeing the love and care that goes into their school days. Words can't describe how wonderful St. John's staff and leaders are.
Children are accepted to SJNS without regard to race, creed, color, sex, national origin or religion. Acceptance by SJNS requires all children, with the exception of the 2 year old class, to be toilet trained.
