Dr. Bradford Pizza founded Pizza Clinic of Chiropractic after his 1983 graduation from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. It was due to a chance detour that he found our location - on his way to look at a practice for sale that was south of the airport, he got lost and wound up in our city.
You must keep in mind that your nervous system controls every part and function of your body. Your spine can press or pinch many nerves that control many of your internal organs and glands, as well as muscles and joints. By working with the spine, a chiropractor can help many problems that may not seem related to the spine.
When you are involved in a car collision, the ligaments and muscles in your body are stretched beyond their elastic limits. This occurrence sets you up for pain now as well as chronic issues in the future. You can think of your muscles acting as a rubber band. Once stretched, they go back into place.
It surprises many that we will often focus on the feet, when the problem seems located in the neck or lower back. Yet, your pelvis and feet are the foundation of your spine. Problems in one area can create compensatory problems in the other. First, we use a high-tech digital scanner to take a picture of your feet while you are standing in a normal, weight-bearing stance.
Degenerative disc disease is not as much a disease as it is a name for the changes that can happen to the spine as we age. The degeneration of spinal discs may cause no symptoms at all, and symptoms depend on each patient and the severity of their case. Pain may occur at the site of the affected disc in the back or neck.
