The Symphony story began in 1978 when Bob Hartman, an employee of Sheridan Gardens (now Symphony of Bronzeville), purchased the Chicago building when he was just 22 years old. His goal since the beginning? To provide quality care. Over the course of the next several years, Hartman acquired a number of other buildings as skilled nursing centers.
