Services
Medicine encompasses many aspects of your pets health and care such as organ function, neurology, dermatology, oncology, and nutrition. Lone Peak provides spay & neuter services, soft tissue surgery, and urgent care procedures. We will also provide referrals for complex orthopedic and neurologic ailments.
Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital performs soft tissue surgery. This includes spay & neuter procedures for your dogs & cats. It also includes important procedures such as mass removals, treating gastrointestinal foreign bodies, removing masses, and oral surgery. Lone Peak prides itself on appropriate pre-anesthetic blood work and additional diagnostic tests, as indicated, to keep your pet as safe as possible.
Oral Care is an extremely important part of your pet's health and well-being. Dental disease can lead to a painful mouth, gum disease, tooth loss, difficulty eating - weight loss, bad breath, infections, and negative effects on your pets overall health by increasing the risks of complications with conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital offers acupuncture as a complimentary piece to your pets care. Acupuncture consists of placing small needles in areas of nerve bundles. This process helps stimulate these areas to provide treatment for such disease processes as osteoarthritis, nerve pain, muscle pain, promotes post surgical healing and can be used as part of cancer treatment.

BEST VET- Lone Peak Vet is top notch. While on vacation one of my dogs developed a skin infection and Lone Peak vet got him in the next day and it was easily handled. While there they notice his nail was getting a slight infection and due to his past he needed to be put to sleep to handle it. Tito (my dog) came out and was so much happier and playful within just 2 days- I feel very lucky to have taken my dog to this Vet clinic.
A couple days later my other dog unfortunately got attacked. Lone peak got him in the day before Christmas very last minute and worked overtime to ensure Rory could get

Under new ownership since Sept 2017- Dr Syd was fantastic with our dog Smoochee! We were visiting the Big Sky area & our senior dog had some issues. Dr Syd diagnosed the issues, dispensed meds & great advice for us to be able to continue our travels. Highly recommend Lone Peak Vet to anyone local or traveling. Dr Syd is very compassionate & well spoken , with a good dose of common sense

Dr. Desmarais is a compassionate and highly educated veterinarian who deeply cares about her patients. And she offers acupuncture which really helped our older, yellow lab, Jack. Her hospital is brand new inside with dedicated exam rooms, a separate surgery suite and treatment area. Definitely recommend.
