Mountain Home Mobile Vet is proud to serve the Gallatin County and surrounding area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Butterfield, who is a licensed, experienced Montana veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionist will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us. It is best to call as soon as possible and inform us of the emergency.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Dr. Butterfield will check the health of your pet from head to tail, you will leave happy knowing that you entrusted us with the care of your pet and your pet will leave happy and less stressed than if you would have gone to a more traditional clinic.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs. 2. We accept ScratchPay, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
It's not easy to say goodbye to cherished pets, even those that have lived long, happy lives. Although you may hate the thought of life without your pet, euthanasia can be the kindest decision you can make when your friend is suffering. If your pet has been seriously injured in a horrible accident and is not expected to recover, euthanasia is clearly the most humane option.

We are so thankful we found Mountain Home Mobile vet, Dr. Butterfield. No stress for our nearly 9 year old golden retriever, Zoey. She is 120lb, so getting her in a car is very difficult. She is also scared of small yippy dogs, so dragging her into the vet seems a little cruel. The Doc, was professional and extremely helpful, especially when recommending natural supplements for Zoey. He examined her in the yard, and Zoey just thought she was getting attention from a friend. We cannot give enough stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!

So Dan is Dan is absolutely amazing it's amazing this morning our dog started to whimper and unfortunately he was out of town but was so so helpful in pointing us to the nearest vet that was open and my family couldnt not thank him more for aleast answering our call and pointing us to someone that could help on a Sunday thank you so much Dan you are truly amazing

This is a great service, for large dogs that hate going to the Vet! Dr. Dan is a straight shooter! My dog was old , and dying. Dr. Dan did not try and ring up a huge bill for a dying loved one! My best friend was put at peace, peacefully...heartbreaking as it was, it was a peaceful experience for all! Thank you!

Hello everyone ! I hope you are having an amazing Friday ! I am not one to bad mouth but I thought people that use Dan butterfield as a vet should know. I told him multiple times that I know there is something wrong with my cat and he dismissed me. I got a second opinion and found out he had a horrible mouth disease that he could have died from if not treated. If I kept listening to Dan my cat could have died. Please be careful with your fur babies !

Dr Dan Butterfield is an AMAZING vet and a very kind man. He came highly recommended and we reached out as new clients. We thought we may need to put our 14 year old dog down and wanted to do it in the comfort of our home, where our boy would be most comfortable. He came to our home after hours the same day we called.
