Driving from out west and this was the best restaurant we encountered enroute to NYS! Good family run place with food that was fast and was exactly what I expected. Generous portions and nice peeps. My only complaint is that I found the 'bottom of my plate' too soon! Worth detouring off the Thruway. We will make a point of stopping there again, might just go there intentionally!

DO NOT COME HERE: I love Mexican food and happen to be Mexican, they served shrimp fajitas with 4 pieces of shrimp, my chimichanga looked like a taquito...
They charge for extra chips and salsa,sour creme, guac, ect and it all tasted horrible. I would pack a lunch if you were thinking about eating here!!! Server was nice but the food sucks. Way to over priced for the amount of food I got.

Food was good but I ordered chicken fajitas. 2 massive plates of food and they give you 2 very small shells to make your meal with. Was my first time there. If that is the normal 2 small shells that's poor thinking and planning. Service was just ok. I ate maybe 1/3 of the food due to lack of shells very sad

Need a bit more sour cream bc the amount they give you is paltry? $1.65 extra.
A little extra tomato? Up charge of $1.50
Want a touch more cilantro? $1.50
The additions to my bill for these little extra s cost so much that I could have bought another meal. Its RIDICULOUS. My friend won't even come here anymore bc of all the ads-on costs.

I was here last night with the family for a quick dinner. We were seated quickly and waitress took our order shortly after. The margarita was pretty good and not water down. The salsa was a bit water down and too runny for my taste. Fortunately the food were good with flavor just right. I would say the price was quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.

My family and I eat here about every other month and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They never rush us and they keep the chips and salsa flowing! We've tried a lot on the menu and have never been disappointed but I really like the shrimp quesadilla. You can't mis with the queso dip either. Lots of gluten free options available. If you are looking for something fancy, this isn't your place, but if you want a good family friendly Mexican joint with great food and a good prices you can't do better than El Azteca in this area.

Came here for dinner with my husband and my friend who is a local. Azteca is one of my friend's favorite local places.
We were served complimentary chips and salsa with our meal. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was very good.
We ordered guacamole and more chips for appetizer. The giac was good but a little over-pureed. I like my huac a little more chunky.
We ordered chicken chimichangas, pollo loco and camarones diablo. All the food was delicious and the staff was very nice.

As I took a quick, whirlwind tour down "memory lane" in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area, I was caught between a wave of nostalgia and surprise... So much has changed from the "old dayzzz" (early-mid 80's) when "South of the Border" was a squished burrito from Taco Junction, Asian food was just a rumor, and WINGS were the law of the land!! Now, the world has discovered Fredonia, and Fredonia has discovered the world...!! Sad and happy at the same time....
