Bought a couple small items for the "sail bags". So many boats stored or for sale. There's a project here if you'd like one! Friendly knowledgeable staff.

A few years ago, I bought a 1989 Tartan 372, and knew from the survey that the engine had seen better days. We decided to replace the engine for the 2020 season, and John at Torresen Marine asked me what my plans were for our beloved boat. After telling him we planned to sail her for years, and that we wanted the best for the boat, John picked out a Yanmar engine worthy of SKYE. Jeff, who installed the engine, and all the craftsmen who had to remove / refit the wood cabinetry surrounding the engine, and some electrical upgrades, did a fantastic job. I HIGHLY recommend working with John and Jeff

Torresen Marine has been awesome to deal with over the years. First found them when we were looking for our boat, then after we bought our boat we outfitted her with things from the ship store. A few years later, they repaired our keel when we made a mistake and just this year they did a bottom coat. We feel they are very reasonably priced for what we have had done.

After a storm bashed my sailboat against a seawall while on vacation on White Lake this summer, I needed a place to fix the fiberglass that was damaged and this is the first place I found. They wanted my credit card info right away but I didn't realize why until I picked it up. I was told it was done, I drove five hours to pick it up but nobody knew anything about it when I got there and when we found it still in the shop, the rub rail was hanging off, it still had a buffer and bottle of rubbing compound on the foredeck and it was covered in fiberglass inside and out. They attached the

Although it is a lot of work when we get out to Torresen, it's always nice to have their expertise. They provide great service, have exception knowledge of Sailboats, and are always hospitable. Pricing is on the high end but it's a one stop shop.

We have kept our boat on the hard at Torresen for several years. This is a good place, well run, good people, family owned. Excellent painting with indoor heated cure building & reasonable prices. You can do almost any work in the yard including outside contractors as long as you do not create a hazard or mess for the other boats. They make local house calls in the area. They will pick up your boat at local marinas for winter haul-out & you do not need to be there. Ships store is pretty well stocked. There is a used inventory (Gordon's Garage) that might have what you need. There are used masts

I have always had great service, enjoy the people in service and the ship's store. I have had some minor billing issues that were quickly resolved and they made sure that I was taken care of. Overall I think Torresen is a great do it yourself boat yard and would highly recommend storing here.

On more than one occasion, like today, I've had problems that the Torreson staff were able to advise me on over the phone - yet I've never bought, and there's likely no chance I ever will buy - anything from them because I'm typically over 1000 miles away from them and it simply wouldn't have been economical. Yet, even knowing that, they've come through with good honest advice.
This is a class act, and the poster above, Bruce, who states they are jerks, is quite likely telling us more about himself than he is about Torreson.

They bill themselves as the sailboat specialists, but they actually specialize in being arrogant jerks, particularly their sales and other misc front office staff. The service and dock staff are nice and fair though, but that is ruined by any and all interactions with the office.

They are not consistent with what they quote you for prices (it's different from one minute to the next), and don't dare try to illustrate to them that their verbal prices do NOT match what is clearly listed on their website as their "current price list".

2 stars is fair yet generous.
