In 2005, Bill Dean started Docks by Dean which sold and installed docks and lifts for residential properties. By 2006, Docks by Dean was also installing vinyl seawalls for their clients. In the fall of 2013, Bill had the opportunity to purchase a long standing marine company, Newaygo Marine. With this acquisition came the ability to sell Sanger boats, Pontoons, Paddle Boats, Rafts and more.

Poor communication and poor service department I took my boat in to get my trim limit switches fixed along with an impeller. After waiting 2 weeks to hear back from them I was told my trim pump was bad and that it would 1,000 dollars for parts and another 1000 for labor. I bought everything from vans in Grand Rapids for 400 dollars plus my bellow kit and gimble kit ..installed them all myself in 8hrs and guess what? The trim pump wasn’t bad.. apparently they didn’t want to work on it and made up that the trim pump was broken and we’re going to charge me to fix it..Don’t bring your boat

I’m very happy with the outcome of my docks. Nick and team did a great job. He was very upfront on costs and timeline. The material was custom made to my project and nick made sure everything was correct. I would highly recommend contacting Nick when you call. He has attention to details. I was referred to call Nick for a second opinion when the first company considering attempting the dock job had some crazy ideas of how to put in these docks with the deep water. Nick came out, measured everything, inspected the job site, quoted me. He stood behind his quote and delivered in the timeline he

I recently contacted Newaygo Marine to help us when in a jam. My father had suddenly passed away this summer and we really needed help getting our boat back up and running. Brian and Butch at Newaygo Marine were quick to help, they pulled our boat out of the lake, brought it to the shop to fix it and had it back before the holiday weekend. Since we didn't have a chance to use it all summer we were forever greatly for their quick, kind and generous service. Will definitely use them again and again. When we worked with them initially for storage and buying a boat lift I had no complaints. But when I ask them to fix my rather old motor on the pontoon the could not do it. After 3 or 4 visit, a new tank and $$$$ it still does not work. Also, I could not use my pontoon for the most important month this summer - not happy. I ask for a quote to build a seawall four time since spring and now 5 month later I still don't have an answer. They maybe good for big $ jobs but not for small jobs. They did try hard to sell us a new pontoon but we waited to see how they perform on the small job. Now we ordered
