Why did you decide on a Dental Field? My grandfather, aunt, uncle and father were all dentists. I loved visiting the Schenectady office growing up and saw the impact that dentistry can have on patients' lives! After sustaining a big dental trauma as a child, and having received great dental care, I decided to become a Dentist.

Dr. K, a well-known Plastic Surgeon, sought us out to enchance his already great smile. We were able to perform 10 Veneers with which we were able to close any gaps, create symmetry and whiten this patient's handsome smile! Kevin, a local Radio Superstar, had an issue of "everything" being trapped between his front teeth.
We are living in the digital age where we can reduce crown visits from weeks to hours! Using our in house 3D impression, design software and milling machine we can produce metal-free crowns in one appointment. Watch a movie and leave with the final crown! The digital capturing of the teeth results in a higher quality digital impression than with conventional techniques.

This office is incredible! I have been going to Salvatore Dental since I was in my 20s and I am now in my 60s and would never consider going anywhere else. I started out with Dr. Richard, Sr. and now his son has taken over and is a gifted professional who is so updated on his knowledge of dentistry. If I could give 100 stars I could. I struggled with dental issues my whole life. I’ve seen more dentists than I can count and was never fully satisfied. While my teeth looked great aesthetically, they lacked stability. As I aged I noticed changes that needed attention quickly which resulted in implants. Writing this review on behalf of George Simmons- I want to start by saying thank you for your exceptional service! I have been going to Dr. Rich for over a year now and he could not have made this a better experience. I am getting a full set of veneers and have had many appointments including a few emergent ones where they were able to get me in straight away and address the problem immediately, even outside of business hours. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences here. The building looks brand new and everything is very modern and clean. Every staff member I have interacted with has been very friendly and helpful. I've felt like I had been taken advantage of with past experiences with other dentists but not here at all. The team at Salvatore Dental was so welcoming! This was my first time at the office and it was by far the best dental experience I’ve had. Ally was amazing and made me feel super comfortable through the whole appointment. Everyone was super thorough and made sure that all my concerns were answered and that every box was checked before sending me off. Best dental experience of my life! I’ve had a few bumps in the road with 2 different local dentists (one chain, one private practice), and I was really discouraged. I heard good things about Salvatore Dental and went for the first time today - I went in with low expectations, due to my previous experiences, and I was so surprised to be totally delighted by the entire experience. Dr. Rich has been so kind, experienced, and gentle!!Because of his skill and advanced equipment and procedures the dental work is not very painful at all!! This is my opinion based upon my recent experience. I'm a veteran that has spent alot of money at this practice. The Dentist made an error in my treatment file by not adding work performed from an earlier visit. No one told me about a large balance of over 600 dollars until a call one hour before my appt. that I pre paid for 2 weeks earlier btw… because it was out of pocket. No apology from the Dentist who made the error. I asked for some sort of compensation for the trouble..because I felt this was handled poorly. After the front office manager left to discuss the situation with the Dentist

It's is my opinion based on my recent experience that Salvatore Dental is not what they cracked up to be. Be cautious about the out of pocket costs and the internal accounting errors. Rather than negotiate and make the customer happy after an internal error, they just refund your money and sever the relationship. Sad because most of the staff there are great people.

I'm not good with names so forgive me. But I've had an awesome experience with the hygienist. She's very pleasant and made me feel as comfortable as could be while she shined up my smile. I highly recommend salvatore dental. Everyone is very nice and make you feel welcome and treats you as a person, not a number.

Dr. Rich Salvatore is amazing. What a pleasant experience. I went for a consult to figure out what to do with my smile. He gave me two options. I was happy he told me there are different ways to fix my teeth. One of the options included my insurance covering some of the treatment and the second option, my insurance would not cover anything. I was really upset when he told me my insurance would not cover the dental implants. That is the best option for me. But I cannot be upset at him, I neglected my teeth for a longtime. I have been a patient of the Salvatore's for over 15 years. Starting with Arthur and then to Richard Sr. What I love most is that Richard Jr and his wife Vera are not only continuing the great tradition set before them but are making it even better with their own style!
As I am now a father of three girls(ages 8 to 3) I would not think of going anywhere else. Today, we all made the trip to Malta from Schenectady, that's how great they are!! My girls all had a great experience with their hygienists and love when Dr Vera comes in to encourage them.

So let me explain: it's never what you do but *how* you do it. My husband was already a patient, so I gave it a try. I arrived and explained I had previously undergone excision of a salivary gland tumor and that the surgeon recommended I avoid radiographs. Ihad some bite-wings done a couple of years back that I could have forwarded to them.
The hygienist then said they could not do my cleaning. The dentist came in and she waffled back & forth between "we can't do it" and "we can do it if we get confirmation from your surgeon". That's fine. Except my surgeon
