Food was amazingly delicious... until a huge cockroach crawled next to us to try to share our breakfast.... if a full grown roach is out in the dining room during the day with people moving I can not imagine how many are in the kitchen. The employees have to know about this! Currently trying not to throw up my breakfast... or maybe I should...

It's with sad heart I have to give Gabby's 1 star. My girlfriend and I had a breakfast there and the only thing we had in common for the breakfast was we both had eggs (she had bacon and I had sausage, I had gravy and biscuits and she had toast). Within a few hours I started feeling sick to my stomach with fever and the symptoms escalated throughout the day until I finally threw up that evening. Hers took a little longer to develop but within 12 hours she had the same symptoms. I've never had this happen and all the years that I have eaten at Gabby's but we both feel something wasn't right with

Gabby's is a place I do love to eat at. Breakfast is great! I love their omelts. They have around nine different kinds. And you can get it made the way you like. Their grill cook, Bob, is the best !!!! The service is sometimes slow but due to them being short handed, they work hard and are very friendly ! Breakfast is served all day. They open at 5:00am and close at 4:00 pm. So if your ever in Jasper, Alabama, stop it and have breakfast. Lunch starts at 11:00am.

When we go on road trips we try to only stop by local diners/cafes etc. Gabby's restaurant was truly a local hot spot and the folks there could not have been more kind or welcoming. If you are looking for a modern fancy super creative restaurant (we weren't) this is not your spot. If you want a place that serves great food in a clean but aging atmosphere and makes their biscuits from scratch then go by! They even made the kids pancakes to look like Gumby and then brought them back through the kitchen for a tour. Great folks, great food.

I have eaten here 3 times in the last 6 months. Its Average for Home Cooking. I give it a 4 because they do have homemade Chicken and Dressing that was really good. The Mac and Cheese is nothing more than elbow macaroni with a cheese sauce - Man Please bake that macaroni and cheese and use real cheese. The corn bread is not bad it none of that Yankee sweet cornbread. Southern cornbread should be made of corn meal with no sugar. I will go back if in Jasper an its lunch time.

Never had a bad meal here. They do change some things on their menu from day to day so you could eat here often and enjoy some variety...I recommend Catfish fillets if you are a CatFish eater, the Hushpuppies are best around don't know about the deserts I'm always too full with doggy bag to take home. Very Good Diner food.

Giving 2 stars because of server and her horrible attitude. Did not introduce herself or in any way greet me although the initials on the handwritten check were BP. Took my order, which came with choice of biscuit or toast. Did not ask which one I wanted, did not bring either, "dropped off" the food again no interaction and never checked on me again despite the fact that she walked past me at least 10 times. I finally stopped her and asked for a biscuit. Food was ok but nothing exceptional. Lumberjack hash browns were undercooked for my liking but food was hot and eggs were cooked to

Good food. Good service. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because of the atmosphere. It's really outdated and needs some TLC. But in a way it shows the history behind this place. On a side note...There seems to be an overload of Auburn stuff in there, so if you're a Bama fan don't get offended- just focus on the good food.

Everything from scratch. Very much worth the wait. Food comes out hot. Came back for breakfast 2 days in a row and will come for dinner tonight. Croissant breakfast sandwich is huge but really good. Pancakes are crisp edges and fluffy. Do ask for the hash browns extra crispy otherwise they are a little soggy. Skip the biscuit and gravy and go with the butter biscuit since they are homemade.

On the road looking for a family style cafe/diner. Nothing was coming up (they don't have a website). No one had menus and very few reviews. Took a chance and decided to get off the highway a bit looking for Gabby's. A chain restaurant was our backup.
I'm glad we did! Gabby's was perfectly what we were looking for; good, inexpensive, southern family food. The biscuits and gravy were stupendous. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The atmosphere was pure southern country charm.
Don't miss this one!

While visiting family nearby we grabbed breakfast here early and this is a Hole in the Wall to a T!
I didn't take a photo fast enough if my food but I ordered coffee, 2 eggs over easy, bacon, grits and a biscuit. Lots of food for the price!
The waitresses were very friendly- my coffee cup was never empty and there is a lot of history to look at on the walls.
Can't wait to go back.
