Services
In 2016 and 2017, this firm on behalf of the Labor Commissioner's Office prosecuted a PAGA action for two employees against a Chinese shipping company in the Los Angeles area. The dispute involved various labor law violations and related penalties. In 2016, this firm pursued a case on behalf of an individual kitchen worker against a Chinese restaurant in the San Diego area, who violated labor law and exploited immigrant employees.
In 2011, we assisted 1300 employees and recovered a record eight figure settlement against a major Southern California employer, on class action basis, for unpaid overtime, unpaid meal & rest breaks, misclassification of non-exempt employees, and fraud for trying to cover up the misclassification. The case was the only class action within recent history to be certified by a Court, to include a cause of action for Fraud.
In 2011, we helped 1300 employees recover $29 million dollars in settlement, for their employer's failure to properly classify them, failure to provide adequate meal and rest breaks, failure to pay overtime, and fraud to try to cover up these failures. Strict state and federal laws are in place to protect workers from being taken advantage of by their employers and to punish harshly those employers who violate the law.
If you are an employee who has been victimized by your employer's illegal practices, you might be wondering how you can afford a lawyer to help you. We assist these clients on contingent fee basis. Rest assured, we do not accept fees until the time of recovery in cases involving unpaid overtime, unpaid rest breaks, disallowed meal breaks, or similar illegal employer practices.
