Dr. Mirando is a graduate of Sherman Chiropractic College in Spartanburg, SC and has been practicing since 2001. He is an advocate of family based, heath focused chiropractic care and treats patients 6 months old and up. He uses multiple chiropractic techniques including Gonstead, diversified upper cervical, Pierce, Thompson, and applied kinesiology.
The practice of chiropractic is based on sound scientific principles. The existence of the nervous system as the primary control mechanism of the body is an undisputed scientific fact. Its relationship with the spine is the focus of the practice of chiropractic care. The spine develops in utero to provide two primary functions: (1) allow for freedom of movement and (2) house and protect the spinal cord.
Mirando Chiropractic Center does not participate with any insurance companies except Medicare. We do this in an effort to keep our overhead and bookkeeping costs low so that we may pass this along to you, the patient. However, we are pleased to assist you with determining out-of-network insurance benefits related to Chiropractic care, massage therapy, and custom fitted orthotics.
If you need more information, don't hesitate to contact our Office Manager at 202-244-4444. This will be followed by a full physical examination. Your Chiropractor will then decide if further testing, such as x-rays or blood work, is required. You will then be presented with a report of findings, outlining your specific problem, treatment options and prognosis.

Very caring and loving people, They want you to get better. I felt welcomed into their family for my neck issues, Dr.Mirando is very caring and even called me up after the appointment to make sure I was doing okay afterwards. Was very detailed in explaining to me what was going on with my spine as well.
My only small complaint being a college student were the fees, for in particular the X-Rays. I understand they were expensive and the appointment itself is actually not that expensive, but the Imaging costed hundreds of dollars, which is pretty steep for a college student like myself.

I've been seen by many chiropractors over the years so I have some basis for comparison. Dr. Mirando didn't really do much of anything except charge a lot for totally uncessary x-rays. I was unimpressed. My father, who loves massages and gets them frequently, said his massage was mediocre at best. We won't be back.

I was seen the same day by massage therapist Jeremy for a very stiff, sore neck. The 45 minute massage was exactly what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was relaxing and professional. I left feeling relaxed and better able to move my neck.
The receptionist was friendly and informative during my appointment call and in person. I was so pleased with her original service that I didnt bother contacting any other chiropractor offices.
I will definitely be back!
