Durham Family Eyecare offers a variety of eye care services, including eye exams, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medical eye care services. We are very proud of our reputation of quality eye care in the Durham, Ct area. Durham Family Eye Care opened its door fall 2007. Our first location was behind Carmines pizza in Durham Village.
We moved into 243 Main Street fall 2010. It is located at the corner of Main Street (rte 17) and Maiden Ln. This beautiful historic home was built in the 1760's. We are proud to say the house is in the history of Durham book. This home used to have a gorgeous wrap around porch (that was back when there were dirt roads).

Certainly a nice facility with very modern equipment. I could list a few more positives however I am compelled to share the down sides because I think this office could do a better job if more people would give them constructive feedback. I suspect that the majority of patients they see are not into the social thing so any poor experiences would most likely not be posted. Anyway here is my experience:
1. Professional Staff? Other than the doctor herself and a lab tech, my interaction was with the elaborately decked out adolescent staff members, pasted with makeup and extremely long flashy fingernails

Everyone at this office is super friendly, knowledgeable, willing and able to explain everything in a way patients can understand. They are up to date with tech and getting digital imaging of the back of the eye. I recommended them to one of my Neuro diverse clients and they also had a good experience there.

Love this place. Stopped in to make an appointment (haven't had my eyes checked in my entire adult life), was able to get an appointment the same week. Was told 1.5 weeks to receive my glasses and they were in, in only 4 days! They worked with both my medical and eye insurance to get me the best price. They doctor was amazing, most soft spoken doctor I've ever met, very nice. She walked me through the entire exam and made sure i was comfortable the entire time. I have never had this great of an experience in any other doctors office! 5 stars. Would definitely recommend using them!

Dr Sites is absolutely amazing. She diagnosed an eye issue in my son at age 5 and worked extremely hard to improve his eye sight. Initial diagnose was by middle school even with glasses he wouldn't be able to see 20/20. And with years of hard work, he sees 20/20 with his prescription. The staff is so courteous and kind and helpful. Everyone is great here. I can't think of any negative thing about this office.
