Services
Dr. Nancy Loveland is a Connecticut native and has been a Cromwell resident for over 20 years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. At Quinnipiac University she was inducted into the Tri- Beta Biological Honor Society.
At Loveland Eyecare, LLC, we provide a full range of services to meet your eye care needs. Our doctors will provide a comprehensive eye examination dedicated to adult and pediatric total eye health and wellness. Your eye exam will include not only an eyeglass prescription, but will include screening and treatment of common eye conditions as well as evaluate your medical conditions as they relate to the eye.
Even before your child may need eyeglass correction, Preschool age is a good time to evaluate your child's eye health, eye muscle coordination, depth perception, color vision, and focusing skills to detect problems early and insure their best learning performance. At about 3 years of age children have achieved adequate expressive language skills to begin to cooperate for some of the traditional eye and vision tests.
At Loveland Eyecare, we custom fit children and adults with contact lenses for your individual needs. Our professionally trained staff will provide individual personal instruction for ease and success of contact lens use. Some of our custom fittings include hydroclear contacts for dry eyes, high astigmatism contacts, monovision, multifocal contacts for presbyopia, and daily disposables for allergic and sensitive eyes.
Patients with diabetes are at higher risk for developing eye conditions from damage to thin blood vessels in the eye. These conditions can cause blood or fluid to leak from the retina or new blood vessels to grow on the surface of the retina which can lead to significant damages to your vision and overall quality of life.

I don't have an issue with customer service like some other reviews; however, each time I go there the doctor reeks of cigarettes. When we're in a very small room with the doctor inches from my face, it's pretty offensive. I am switching because of this.

I have been going there longer than I probably should have. Terrible customer service but went for convenience. Contact prescription always fine but never felt I had a correct eye glass script. The last straw was when I had an irritated cornea. Prescribed steroids and was told to call if my vision worsened. It did. No one called me back. Called an ophthalmologist office and told them the situation. Took me in the same day. And diagnosis at Loveland wasn’t accurate.

I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. Two weeks ago I called for a refill on monthly contacts I was informed that the computer system has been down for two weeks and they could not tell me what my child’s prescription was, Asked me if I save the box and I told him no he took his last monthly out two days ago what happened to rip while changing them out playing baseball in the box was thrown away, I then asked you don’t have a hard copy of your patients records in case something like this your computer system goes down to the world may crash. No ma’am was my answer

**Took 3 weeks to get my glasses

COVID PRECAUTIONS ARE HORRIBLE. The waiting room was over crowded, no sanitation between customers. Most medical office are only allowing one person in at a time. Multiple people coming in together. They should have a better system for patient exams and picking up glasses/contacts . Medical staff was excellent but front desk staff not very friendly.

I stopped in today to look for a pair of frames. I was blown away by the customer service that I got from Christie. She was phenomenal. Honest, knowledgable and patient. It’s a small spot, so prices are higher than chain stores, but I try to support the smaller businesses of I can and if the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Christie, especially if you are unsure of which style would suit your face. I honestly haven’t had customer service like that in a very long time!

The front staff were super helpful and friendly and my appointment with Dr. Loveland was great! She addressed all of my concerns and I got a new prescription & new glasses. Only negative was I did wait about 40 minutes for my appointment, but I passed the time by finding a new pair of glasses. Would definitely recommend

I had a very good experience from start to finish.
My appointment with the doctor started on time and he was very professional.
Everyone in the office from the receptionist to the doctor to the women who helped me pick out my glasses; were very friendly and knowledgeable.
My glasses were ready to be picked up in 8 days.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now and almost everyone I know from the area does as well. Dr Loveland is personable and has taken extra time to help me with whatever I need. When picking out glasses the other staff has taken up to 2 hours dealing with my indecisiveness. I couldn't think of anything bad to say about Loveland if I even wanted to.

I got a pair of glasses here in October and the whole staff was so kind and friendly....then the other day the arm fell off and I realized there was a small crack in the frame, so I went in today to see if anything could be done. They immediately checked to see if they had the frame (they didn't) so she set about ordering it and then offered to put my lenses in a different color frame temporarily until mine came in so I didn't have to wear the broken pair anymore. I appreciate that they made sure to do right by the customer...will definitely be back next time I need glasses!

I have not been to this practice for any eye care but the service I received trying to get my records has been appalling. My dr retired & sent my records here. I tried to make an appt with them but for some reason she couldn't process my insurance information so she told me to figure it out before calling back to make an appt. what?! My insurance is 1000% valid. You'd think she'd try to help to see if maybe she entered it wrong before sending me away. So I said forget it I'll find another dr. I've been trying to get copies of my records since August. 1st they said they

First time here. Great location. Staff is so extra nice! Dr Loveland was fabulous explaining my vision to me. She does not make me feel rushed. Im very comfortable with her. One of the staff members helped me pick out a pair of glasses and was so nice and helpful about it.

Worst service possible. I had an appointment for my yearly check up. I have been wearing contacts for years and he wanted me to come back the following week to see what contacts I liked better. I came for my appt and I have been waiting 40 minutes to be seen for an appt that was only supposed to take 10 minutes.

Dr. Loveland has been so helpful with all of my eyecare needs. I never had someone be able to fit me with the perfect contact lenses and it was the first try! I also picked an awesome pair of Kate spades with their consultant Sue! She was wonderful and very patient with my picky ways..

I've been a patient for a few years now. The office staff is very friendly and professional! Dr.Loveland is the first eye doctor that I've been comfortable with. I was having a tough time choosing glasses and she took the time to help me choose a pair, gave me a honest opinion as to what looked good on my face shape. However, I decided to choose progressive lenses and was having issues with the left eye being to blurry. We tried to adjust the lens itself once and that didn't work. So when I went back, we chose to omit the progression,they ordered the new lenses for single vision

After my boyfriend had a relatively positive experience with Loveland, I decided to order my new glasses there. I've been dissatisfied with the customer service enough that I won't be returning and will actively recommend to others that they not go to Loveland.

When I placed my first glasses order, I told them I would need the glasses by 10 business days from the order because of upcoming eye surgery. Easy in and out. I have 20/10 vision, and have never needed glasses. I had to come here because my insurance changed and now they make me get my eyes checked yearly. Since this was my first vision test since elementary school, I didn't remember what to expect.

They squeezed me in on the day after Thanksgiving, which was great, since I needed to get this appointment in before the end of the year; I was lucky that they'd had a cancellation. They were running on time. I did the tests, chatted with the doctor, and she said, "You're not even close to needing glasses."

Been coming here for a few years and I very much appreciate this doctor. She is very good and patient and more than happy to answer lots of questions. (This is the opposite of the experience I had with the optometrist I saw in Middletown.) The staff here has always been helpful as well; never had any problems. Furthermore, pricing here without the "in-network discount" was actually cheaper than the in-network place I went to before!

What a terrible experience! I was referred to this doctor through my insurance. When I called, I was immediately put on hold for quite a while. When the man came back, he asked a million questions and then repeated the process when he needed my husband's information. He couldn't transfer the information?? He also asked me to repeat the same answers several times, including my name. In the middle of this aggravation, he put me on hold to take another call. I put up with this so that we could make the appointments....big mistake. I requested Mondays, but the doctor does not see patients
