D. Jeffery Rengel Mr. Rengel has over 32 years of litigation experience with a focus on business, real estate and class action litigation. This litigation often involves multi-million dollar acquisition, disposition, financing and development issues. In that regard, Mr. Rengel also advises our clients on issues of capital formation, joint ventures, mezzanine and bridge commercial and private equity financing.
We are conveniently located in downtown Sandusky, Ohio at 421 Jackson Street - one block south of the Erie County Courthouse and directly across the street from the Sandusky Public Library parking lot. Due to Bankruptcy procedures and the appointment of a trustee by the Bankruptcy judge, all future management of the Erie Islands Resort & Marina bankruptcy case and resolution and settlement of the class action claims against Erie Islands Resort & Marina (including the processing and payment of individual members' class action claims) is being handled by the Akron office of the Brouse McDowell law firm.
SMC Promotions, Inc. has also been known as Specialty Merchandise Corp. and EMerchantClub and was the subject of a frequent late night infomercial featuring spokesperson, Tom Bosley, from the hit television show Happy Days. Litigation was filed against SMC Promotions in Erie County, Ohio citing violations of Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act, breach of contract, and fraud in their dealings with purchasing members.
