This used to be the "go to" for vintage chandeliers, repairs etc.
not sure if ownership change but woman running the shop today was berating a customer on the phone when we walked in, then berated us for asking if they had replacement parts including brackets. Could not even get a question in without her then wanting to know who our electrician was... will not be going back after using them for 20+ years.

Yesterday was my first time being at the lighting palace and this place is AWESOME!! Patrima's passion is obvious the moment you walk in beyond helpful and willing to take the time to educate you on what it is you like. She and her husband Tom are just awesome people. The lighting is quality that is one of a kind. Can't say enough great things about the lighting palace!! Looking forward to my next purchase here.

Need a part for an old lamp. Found them listed under "lamp parts" I needed to try to match the broken part with a new one. So I drove there to do that. Upon my arrival there were 2 people outside talking, not a big deal, I go in the store wonder around for a bit didn't see anyone working, actually didn't see anyone at all. I look around a bit more then walk back outside to find the same 2 people still talking, the woman says to me "I'll be there in a minute", Ok figured she was busy. After about 10 more minutes I walk back out front they are still talking, she

Repairs review:
Basically: Tina is a trip. Doesn't write down anything a client says, as if clients have no idea what we're talking about. Way over quotes a simple wiring job, suffers from price inflation. When her mistakes are corrected she just decides not to help anymore.

Brought in a midcentury lamp, clearly explained what was broken to Tina. Was given a unreasonably high quote for a simple rewire and socket tightening, told that the parts I'll need run $50 a pop (checking online, the said parts actually cost $10), and started listing all the things on my

I took two 60's lamps there to be fixed. The owner got tangled in the cords and dropped one. There was minor damage to the base. HOWEVER, the owner had the nerve to charge us for parts to the base when she had dropped it. Very Bad business. I can accept their quirkiness and eccentricity, but bad business practices are a No No!!!!!!!

This business is consistently inconsistent . Business ethics very poor. Store hours change week to week. Earlier this month I had an awful experience. I was browsing for a fun lamp. Very disappointed .. Women salesperson was rude and very uninterested in being helpful at any level. Prices outrageous (your old stuff is not in vogue, style or trend - stale at best). Looked like an unkept recycle yard. Not uplifting - dark and poor energy . The lady worker was most content with talking to a friend in the store about social stuff! Business 101: Treat the customer with respect and be

This is a review for the Lamp repair side of The Lighting Palace.
I've brought lamps to be repaired in the past, only ever worked with Thomas. He is efficient and honest, listens to his customers, and loves lamps. Recently I took a mid-century lamp in whose wires had gotten crossed. Unfortunately, Thomas was out, but Tina was in.
Don't take your lamp to Tina:
1. Doesn't take notes
2. Doesn't listen
3. Minimal customer service skills
4. Attempts to charge hidden fees
5. Will tell you your lamp needs more work then it does, over-quotes the cost of replacement lamp parts !!!!
I explained that

Rude rude rude RUDE!!! I have been here twice and that lady that owns the place is SO RUDE. The first time she yelled at customer's for walking into the back-room. They didn't know it was her back-room, she didn't have a sign up or a rope blocking the room. The second time she yelled at me for taking pictures. She gave me some lame excuse that people copy her antiques...she is just rude. If someone wanted to copy something she had they can just Google it! Nothing is a secret these days, we all have the internet. She knew she was wrong for what she said because she had the nerve to say "I didn't

The socket in an older brass lamp I’ve had for years failed. Changing a socket is usually simple, but not in this case,. After more than an hour of frustration, I brought the lamp to the Lighting Palace, a referral from a friend. Picking up the lamp a week later, I was happy to see that the new socket matched the original perfectly.
These guys love lamps and talk about them enthusiastically. They specialize in repairing and restoring antique lamps and also handle consignments. When you go in, take time to check out their ornate and beautiful lamps.

I live in Houston and ordered hanging globes from the Lighting Palace in 2018. I give them 5+ stars for texting me so many options and helping me figure out what size globes fit my entryway. The craftsmanship of these fixtures is beautiful. I've gotten countless compliments on them. Thank you, Lighting Palace!

Good selection but very expensive. I’ve been here twice and the owner was annoyed and unhelpful both times. She was too busy to help
me the first time, the second she made it seem like she was doing me a big favor by agreeing to sell a lampshade. I was also looking for a candle cover and a glass diffuser to go under a lamp shade. She had the candle covers but wouldn’t sell one me, saying she needed them for repairs. She was charging $45 for a diffuser that I’ve purchased at other stores for $15.

Walked in looking for a replacement lampshade, some parts, a chandelier for a client and a few crystals. I was patiently waiting for the front desk person to wrap up her non work related gossip session but I guess she was too busy to help me. Found a lamp that a client may have been interested in an went to snap a picture. Suddenly the worker acknowledged my existence and said "we don't allow pictures here"... And went back to her conversation with a sigh and an "anyway". Needless to say, I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I won't use the company again. The charged double what they charged me previously, then argued about.
Then they never called me that my lamp was ready, then argued that it was not ready when it was. Then the owner's wife yelled at her husband in the store and never apologized for not calling me when my lamp was ready.
So much for the customer service. WOW.
