In 1984, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) commissioned Red Valve to develop and test an alternative to ineffective flapgate valves. As a result, the elastomer duckbill Tideflex Check Valve was specifically designed to eliminate operation and maintenance problems associated with flapgate valves - including corrosion, freezing open or shut, warping and clogging.

TRACOM has been designing custom and standard fiberglass products for nearly 30 years. We started by modernizing the wastewater treatment business with economical, standardized products. As our company grew, we started supporting many other industries with custom and standardized products. UV is also growing in popularity as it provides a proven alternative to Chlorination avoiding the generation of potentially harmful by-products.
