Worst fear for someone in investment property is trying a new lender and time wasted. Three weeks with information in hand to be denied on a technicality they should have caught in the first 15 minutes with a simple financial algorithm all banks have. Can find another lender. Will never have my time back.

I have used WHM for a number of years for both my primary residence as well as investment properties, and they have been nothing less than superb to deal with even when I have not been. PAINFUL, PAINFUL, PAINFUL. We were not happy with this company at all. Their fees are high and their service very poor. Our mortgage was a straight forward, conventional loan (30 year, 10% down, A+++ credit, 1st time home buyer). The brokers missed several closings and we almost lost the home as well as a HUGE down payment. We initially worked with a broker at the firm and then our loan package was given to the owner to settle. No one could get our loan closed. The mistakes made were amateurish and each time WHM had to extend the rate lock it was for one week at a time. As a result, we had

Worked with Diego Calderon to refinance my house. Very professional and wonderful service. Does an exceptional job finding the best rates available and (if underwriting is done in-house -- as is the case for most of his mortgages), the process will be as painless as it ever gets. If the mortgage product is complicated and involves perhaps recruiting other lenders, then although the process is still very good, doesn't quite come to the level of doing a conventional first mortgage.
I would gladly use him again if I needed to.
