Spa in the City may have been founded 11 years ago, but it was built on several decades of knowledge.
Josanne started Spa in the City over 10 years ago in one little room inside the offices of Vernon and Walrep OB/GYN in Medical City. What started out as a one person operation quickly turned into much more. Now several moves later Spa in the City has grown to a staff of 10 and 7 treatment rooms.

I've been coming here for a little over a year for my laser hair removal. They have a laser hair removal membership for $79 a month which has kept me coming back. But unfortunately they recently modified their membership and required a medical consult. After my recent appointment I was charged $79 because I went in for my treatments at 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks AND they charged me $50 for the virtual medical consult. $50 for a consultation that could have been filled out on a form and took less than 15 minutes?! I have been coming to see Josanne off & on for over 7 years. She was friendlier but now she makes me feel like I'm rushed and she doesn't have time to answer my questions. Kind of rude and abrupt, as well some of the staff. I still continued to come because it was close to my house and open on Saturdays.

I've been seeing Josanne for years for a variety of skin care treatments. Let me tell you... she is a WIZARD! I had an injury as a child that left me with a pretty significant scar right above the bridge of my nose. I realize it's a superficial thing to be self conscious of, but so sue me I'm human. I never thought I'd be able to remedy it, but low and behold Josanne worked her magic, and after a couple of treatments my scar is a distant memory. You can feel that she wants you to be happy in your own skin. Go see her and her amazing team!

I called last week and was told 3.25/unit for dysport, I called today to make an appointment, and was told it is 11.25/unit for Dysport... I asked again if she meant Botox as it takes approximately 2.5 units of Dysport to equal 1 unit for Botox, and she was extremely rude and said not it was $11.25 unit for Dysport....made zero sense but okay, I will make an appointment elsewhere as there are far too many places to choose from that will be at the very least courteous on the phone. If she was that rude on the phone why would I let a place like this inject my face? Very unprofessional and no knowledge

The owner Josanne has a horrible attitude . She left one of my eye brows higher than the other one . She was recommended by a friend . When I complained she got really defensive . I then did a bit research to find out she not even a nurse so in other words she is practicing injections which obviously out of her scope . She doesn't have the proper medical training that's why she messed my Botox up . I do not recommend her go pay the same amount of money she charges and get it done by a REAL medical professional.

There is a typo in my review - it should have read "was" before upgraded. I was upgraded to a VIP membership with out my permission. the contract I signed was for $79 and someone drew thought that and changed it to $150. So I had no idea my membership had been changed. Oh and by the way- I have now been SUED by them so beware

Josanne is an artist and a perfectionist. My advice - just let her do her thing. She saw so much more than I did- identified the issues and had a game plan. She was conservative and precise in her placement of the filler. I actually live in another state but I will return just to see her again! So impressed- and so very happy with the results.

As stated by multiple others, Josanne will not try and sell you things you do not need. I really appreciate that in this type of industry where it seems more is always more. It's refreshing! I'm not one to write reviews but I felt this one was necessary. This was the worst experience of my life!!! Josanne was very rude and defensive from the moment I walked in. Her answers to all of my questions were short and extremely rude. The defensiveness that she put out made me think she was afraid or insecure about her skills. She was very unprofessional and in the end I just walked out. She needs to brush up on her people skills especially with new clients. Never ever again!! There's plenty of other places in Dallas to have to put up with an unprofessional individual such as her
